Beautiful campground with large sites and fhu. 21$per night. Full bathrooms and showers although not sure if any hot water. The bridge is out but there are signs and it was easy to access. There is only one other person here! The dam is running and it is a great view!

Nice, pretty and peaceful campground. I think there were only two other campers there the night we stayed. It’s a couple miles off the state road so no road noise. Centrally located bath house. We felt safe there and would def stay again. In the same area, there is also a state park with a campground.

Quiet well maintained campground. Be sure you enter from the correct side of the river. There is (was - it’s permanently closed now) a bridge connecting the two sections of the campground. But you need to enter from the side your campsite is on. We were in site 22, so the east side, and we entered down a gravel road that made me worry about the campground. But the actual campground was very nice. The camp host was friendly and came over to let us know there was some potential bad weather forecast and what to do if we heard the alarm from the dam go off. Turns out everything was fine but good to know in case of emergency. I got pretty much nothing with my Verizon cell service but picked up a decent connection with my T-Mobile internet box. With my America the Beautiful pass it was $10.50 for a FHU site. Can’t beat that!

This is a wonderfully quiet and peaceful small campground. However, you will have no Internet or phone service unless you go to the top of the dam - a great place for you and the kids to unplug.

A hidden gem! This ACE campground doesn’t disappoint! We parked here overnight and the site was so level we didn’t bother getting the leveling blocks out. The site was clean and had good power, water, and sewer hookups. The bathrooms were on par with other ACE campgrounds and work fine and clean. There was a ton of space between the sites. Nice picnic table, fire ring, grill, and prep table at the site. A great value at under $30 all in. I would stay here again! Please don’t try to cross the old bridge that connects the two sides of the campground especially if you are towing a camper. There is a low height and 3 tons (I think) weight restriction. Be sure to cross using the road that goes over the dam to get to the other side. Expect to drive on some gravel roads. They were not a problem at all.

We loved our experience. Campground and sites were super neat and clean. Bathrooms were iffy. But it our site was full hookup so it didn't matter to us. Loved sitting on the benches by the dam watching the wildlife. Wish we would have bought a fishing license. Cell service is horrible but that just meant we were able to enjoy each other and play games. Would definitely go back.

I did not camp here but I did stop by to fish for a few hours under the bridge. They had some pretty good sized gar and quite a few turtles. Great place, well maintained, a clean and relatively bug free outhouse. The camp host was super nice and helpful.

Decent campground. Covered table. Very helpful camphost. However site #1 is a very high traffic area.

Below the dam has less wind and traffic. Fishing is good for me. And they put out more rock for sides of river and along riverbed.
