I don’t like writing negative reviews and struggled between 2 and 3 stars but settled on two. Fender’s is, unfortunately, below average. I tried to call for a reservation but couldn’t get through so I booked online, paying extra for a river view site. Note that the online reservation costs $15 more than the rate advertised on the front door. We arrived midafternoon and the sign on the office said “out to lunch” and left a phone number. I tried the number three times over a 30-minute span and left voice mail. We gave up and went to our spot and set up. I called the number again and left voice mail to say we were set up and didn’t need anything. The sites were cramped, parking lot style, gravel. Hookup quality was fair, but poorly maintained (loose covers on the electrical boxes, weak springs in the receptacle, a conglomeration of PVC and metal piping on the water connection). The office was cute (from the outside) but everywhere else looked pretty run down - peeling paint, etc. There was a lot of trash accumulated around the site (dried up banana peels, food wrappers, a very desiccated dead bird). There was a big dog barking in one of the nearby sites that went on late into the night and started again about 4:00 AM. Quite a few of the campers had a run-down permanent look about them. Will I stay there again? Maybe in a pinch. I’ll look around first. One last note, Google Maps directs you to the park exit which is protected with tire spikes. Turn in at the motel entrance instead.

Our stay is in our RV. Great place to stay on the Colorado River. Friendly, peacefull. Love it.

Drove through the rv area to check it out. It was not good. Trash bins over flowing, cars on flat tires and messes around several of the rvs there. Spaces were extremely close together.

Nice little RV park with a great back in spot right on the Colorado river. Quiet and relaxing place in the middle of the week, but weekends are probably another story. We arrived after hours and never did find the bathrooms?

Quirky riverside RV park with awesome personality. Staff were amazingly friendly. Nice and quiet when I was there during the week. Excellent river views with a lower shaded deck and upper sunny deck.

Fenders was awesome!!!! Cost was GREAT!!! Location is amazing. We were here for 3 weeks and the trip was made much better by the access to the river. Our dogs were easily accepted, so very pet friendly. My only complaint was Wi-Fi was horrible!

Aahhhh Fenders, what can I say.. 😍 My fourth time staying when visiting from London and making the long drive from LA towards AZ and every single time has felt like coming home. The staff are always so kind and welcoming, the sunrise/sunset views over the Colorado River from the little apartment with the balcony are just spectacular and there’s just something so special about this little Oasis in the desert. (Also the beds are INSANELY comfy) If you’re thinking about visiting make sure you go for a dip in the river and stargaze from the jetty with a cold beer and take the time to chat with the local residents - what a place. Thanks for having us, we’ll be back! 🌴

We stayed 1 night traveling down the road. Got a pull thru spot that was nice and level. Right on the Colorado River with a boat ramp. Nice clean hot showers. Tiffany was awesome and answered all my crazy questions. Tony and Lisa FishCampSkoolie

Cute, funky, older motel, right on the water. Dog friendly. Rooms are clean. AC works great. Service is exceptional. There are some up grades going on, and I look forward to seeing this place again. I stayed in the top suite, which has the best views. It has a refrigerator, stove , and toaster. A bit bare on utensils and towels. The Colorado River is beautiful to watch. I didn't have much time there as I was driving through. I'll be back.

We keep our 5th wheel here right on the river and love it! Rosie, who runs the park is the BEST! You meet snow birds from all over the US. Pretty cool!
