Fender's River Road Resort: RV Camping in Needles, CA

I don’t like writing negative reviews and struggled between 2 and 3 stars but settled on two. Fender’s is, unfortunately, below average. I tried to call for a reservation but couldn’t get through so I booked online, paying extra for a river view site. Note that the online reservation costs $15 more than the rate advertised on the front door. We arrived midafternoon and the sign on the office said “out to lunch” and left a phone number. I tried the number three times over a 30-minute span and left voice mail. We gave up and went to our spot and set up. I called the number again and left voice mail to say we were set up and didn’t need anything. The sites were cramped, parking lot style, gravel. Hookup quality was fair, but poorly maintained (loose covers on the electrical boxes, weak springs in the receptacle, a conglomeration of PVC and metal piping on the water connection). The office was cute (from the outside) but everywhere else looked pretty run down - peeling paint, etc. There was a lot of trash accumulated around the site (dried up banana peels, food wrappers, a very desiccated dead bird). There was a big dog barking in one of the nearby sites that went on late into the night and started again about 4:00 AM. Quite a few of the campers had a run-down permanent look about them. Will I stay there again? Maybe in a pinch. I’ll look around first. One last note, Google Maps directs you to the park exit which is protected with tire spikes. Turn in at the motel entrance instead.

Our stay is in our RV. Great place to stay on the Colorado River. Friendly, peacefull. Love it.

Drove through the rv area to check it out. It was not good. Trash bins over flowing, cars on flat tires and messes around several of the rvs there. Spaces were extremely close together.

Nice little RV park with a great back in spot right on the Colorado river. Quiet and relaxing place in the middle of the week, but weekends are probably another story. We arrived after hours and never did find the bathrooms?

The restroom and shower room was not clean enough and open from 8:00AM

This is the best place we ever find
Great Lake quit place a lots of space
And very very very friendly staff
If I could give this place 100 stars I would
Guys thank you very much again for having us
You are a little piece of paradise in the desert

Quirky riverside RV park with awesome personality. Staff were amazingly friendly. Nice and quiet when I was there during the week. Excellent river views with a lower shaded deck and upper sunny deck.

Great place and people. Thank you for your warm heart Tiffany and guys. First warm place in days (or rather weeks) on Route 66 (Chicago to LA). I loved the rabbits and ducks and clear water of Colorado River. Cyclist from Poland

Fenders was awesome!!!! Cost was GREAT!!! Location is amazing. We were here for 3 weeks and the trip was made much better by the access to the river. Our dogs were easily accepted, so very pet friendly. My only complaint was Wi-Fi was horrible!

Friendly Beautiful views Clean Great music Fri Night!

Great staff who were very helpful. Great value for an older facility. Over night sites adjacent to frontage road are gravel and can be noisy all night with long time residence coming and going.

Awesome place to stay ,very clean quiet and the manager Rose is the greatest. She helped me out with the area the first time I ever stayed there over 10yrs ago and continues to be the same gracious hostess ,and if your from a state they don't have on their tree please offer one up😁 ,I hope you all enjoy your stay their
