Large sites, clean facilities, and pottable water is accessible and close by most sites. Some sites have 0 privacy, and some are average.

We had a wonderful time at Fitzroy Provincial Park! The campground was peaceful and well-maintained, and we were pleasantly surprised to see deer roaming freely, it made the experience even more magical. The beach was clean, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing or letting the kids play. A great spot for nature lovers and families alike. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a nice campground to visit. The staff is friendly and the grounds are clean. However, the beach isn't that nice. I wish they would do a better job keeping guests at night quiet as people tend to raise their voices which can be heard from a distance. I'd also avoid buying firewood here as 10$ a bag is high and the bag of wood we got was wet when we tried to burn it. The campgrounds have spots for campers what need to plug in and regular spots. You have access to showers and washing and dryers.

Fitzroy is an amazing park with fantastic staff. The campsites were decent, we had one that backed on to carp creek. The facilities were Always clean and well marked out on the map. Like at every provincial park the staff were Always friendly and helpful. The park store had some food, fitzroy merchandise and ice cream. The beach was well maintained and the water was clean. Easy access to the ottawa river which was amazing. There is a huge waterfall just past the first island that's a must see and a short Paddle to Alexandria made for an interesting adventure and a great fishing story. Thank you park staff for an amazing weekend.

Clean and relatively quiet, however the section we were in offered very limited privacy and was not close to the swim area. Walking or biking to the beach or store was challenging (dangerous at spots) since there were no trails or shortcuts which forced us to walk on the park roads with quite a bit of traffic. Both beaches were clean and the water was great for swimming but the smaller beach had an unexpected "industrial view" of the huge hydroelectric dam. The larger beach was very nice, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed kayaking from there. He fished while taking in the beauty of the Ottawa River. Park staff were very friendly and clearly took pride in their work. The Park Store was very well stocked too.

Stayed for two nights, and our campsite was great! Tons of room and well maintained. Right next to a small town and beach is walking distance from a corner store/LCBO. The walking trails were a bit disappointing and bathrooms need better up keep.

Too busy and camp sites are too small with little privacy. Most staff were very nice, park rangers seemed to have a large chip on there shoulder. Want a be cops with attitude. While camping a young woman drowned, very sad. Might have been avoided if the beach didn't have so many people, very over crowded and maybe a life guard. I really like provincial camp grounds, but not big on this one.

Place is amazing no complaints , except for one of the park rangers! I was driving at the very entrance yes i was 5 over i will admitt he turned on his lights i immediately stopped,i rolled down my window full well knowing he was going to tell me to slow down , i agree taking full blame , he started yelling at the top of his lungs to stop my vehicle ( i was already stopped) he proceeded to scream saying i was going to run over children he was very angry , here's the thing i completely understand i was going a lil.over but def not enough to run a child also wasnt even in the campground yet k just feel he could have said it a lil nicer i felt small

I would call it a mid range provincial park. I would go there to camp while visiting my son in Kanata. The main washroom is clean and nice. The showers could use a venting system to rid of the moist heat. The smaller site bathrooms are drop toilets and are a bit smelly. They took out the corner sink and mirrors that were previously in there. The hand sanitizer system hasn't yet had any liquid or foam in it. The beach is along the Ottawa River so water is warmer. There is a hydro plant across from the smaller (not main) beach. Sites are large. If reserving make sure you reserve correctly if you have a trailer
