Folsom Lake SRA/Beals Point: RV Camping in Folsom, CA

Beales point is a great spot for paddleboard or swimming. The water is not freezing but cool and comfortable. There are some great areas to chill, relax, and or BbQ.
If you are on a board there are some great secluded areas to chill at away from the people. Which makes for a nice ride and break.
Definitely a spot to return to.

If the staff at the kiosk could've told me where my campsite was they would have gotten higher stars. The campground and beach are great. Everything's clean and well maintained throughout the day.

Family, fun, weekend vibes after a long work week. Swimming, great food, packed all the rite essentials,  slept like a baby, no mosquito bites or wolf life were present. The sun was out as well as the stars.

If you're looking for a peaceful and quiet place to go on a weekday for a little picnic this is the spot. Got restrooms to utilize and park benched with shade.

This is a great place to bring your pup for the day however, I don't understand why some people find it acceptable to leave their trash on the beach and in the water. The Folsom Lake staff do their part to clean up the area for these idiots that have no respect for nature.

This was a beautiful hike with a well-paved trail and great views. It started off flat but then picked up a little with the hills, which was a good thing to me.

Wow, wow, what a wonderful pleasant place to just go and read a book. However, we fished. Love the serenity it offered. You can bike ride, skate, ride electric scooters and fish, swim, camp, rv and you name it. Awesome place for all ages.

I visited Folsom Lake a while ago and had a great experience! I swam in the cold, refreshing water, which was perfect for a hot day. The huge snow cones nearby were a fun treat and made the visit even more enjoyable.

The parking area was spacious and well-maintained, making it easy to get in and out without any stress. Overall, Folsom Lake is a fantastic spot for outdoor fun, whether you want to swim, relax, or enjoy a treat. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refreshing day out in nature!

Posting this to commend the excellent condition of the floating restrooms on both the north fork (Granite Bay) and south fork (Eldorado Hills) sides on August 27 and 28. I don’t know who does the cleaning, but both were sparkling clean, functional and fully stocked with TP. I suppose the upkeep gets easier as the lake level falls and traffic declines, but the parks employees are tied up with things like boat inspections and budgets are probably tight.
The staff at the check-in booth were friendly and helpful. We registered for 2 nights camping on the lake, so they had to verify that there was a marine toilet on our boat, but some occasions are better handled in a larger facility…!
The lake is down around 50’ from max, which limits the number of coves to anchor in, but we had no problem launching our big cruiser from the Granite Bay low-water ramp, and I think we were the only ones overnighting on either arm. It’s great watching the stars come out over the water on a clear night, and going to sleep with no sound but the ripples slapping on the hull.

Great place to swim and spend the afternoon. The beach is a bit of a hike, but there's a lot of amenities.

Super comfortable place with a beautiful nature! Very beautiful deers, wild turkeys, geese and even heard of coyotes. The stars here are much brighter than in the city. The air is great! I was amazed that there were no mosquitoes!!!! We had met beautiful lizards. The shower there for quarters - 5 pieces equals 10 minutes of hot water. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a vacation.
