We've been coming to this KOA for several years in a row in October to celebrate Halloween with our kids and another family. In past years, we've brought our RV; this is the first year we've rented a cabin from them. Despite costing over $200 per night for a tiny studio cabin, the campground nickle-and-dimes you for every little thing, right down to only providing two K-cups of caffeinated coffee for 2 adults staying 3 nights (don't worry, they invested in semi-permanent signs informing you you could purchase more K-cups from the store.). They charge for every single activity despite having very dilapidated equipment as noted in other reviews. Many other campgrounds include things like mini-golf in your rate, but this one charges for that as well. But the real cherry on top was when my credit card was charged $50 for a "cleaning fee" after I had checked out. Campground management (Mark) informed me this was because there were "crumbs left on the kitchen table" and "a dustpan of dirt swept off the floor" and "some dirty dishes left in the sink". I was flabbergasted - at over $200/night, vacuuming the floor and clearing the sink should be standard housekeeping duties, especially since it was never communicated to me - in writing or verbally - that the expectation is that the Guest perform those duties prior to check out. I would have had no problem doing all that if that were clearly communicated as it is in an AirBND rental, for example, but it was not, and they just decided on their own to go ahead and assess the fee. I called and calmly explained my point of view and rather than make it right and refund the fee, Mark essentially said it was my problem and I should just contest the charge with my credit card company if I didn't like it. He was very dismissive and obviously just wanted to get me off the phone. A lawyer would have a heyday with this but I think negative reviews on the internet are just as impactful to the bottom line and I hope everyone takes the time to consider this pattern of dishonest and dismissive behavior by Mark and staff in my review and others here before they consider spending their hard-earned money on this place. You're much better off at a mid-tier hotel or better run campground in town. I hope KOA Corporate is taking notice.

Drove up to spend a night in this campground with friends. From the moment I walked in to the minute I left, I received terrible customer service from Wendy at the main office. When I attempted to check in, she was curt and unhelpful. I asked if I could upgrade my site to stay near my friends. She said that was not possible. In fact, she told me I couldn't stay at the site at all because I didn't have a tent. There was nothing mentioned when I booked the site about a tent requirement. She was rude and dismissive of my concerns. When I asked for my money back, she processed a cancellation charging me for the cancellation fee. I didn't ask to cancel. I just asked to stay at the campground which I had just driven an hour and a half to get to.

This location was everything we wanted for a long weekend getaway. Tons of amenities for the kids. The staff were incredibly friendly. They had events and fun things to break up the days. Very clean and cared for. My only wish would be for a hot tub, but that doesn’t change my absolute 5-star review!

The campground is an average KOA with friendly staff. They had the usual large playground, mini golf, well stocked store, plus they are on a lake with paddle boats. We stayed here to avoid taking the RV on the winding roads to get to the Rocky Mountain National Park. After driving an hour each way for three days in a row, I would make a different choice. We saw campgrounds close to the park entrance with lots of big rigs so obviously it can be done - just need to go slow and easy.

We stayed at the tent site for the night on our way to Yellowstone. Our tent site was near the pond which was really nice. The campsite itself is really awesome. They have everything you need and it’s the perfect place for the kids. They always have list of activities going on during the day for the both the kids and adults . The bathroom/showers near the registration office are really nice and have more space. We loved it and would definitely recommend this place to others.
