Good place to stay during the off season, quiet, great supply of food, drinks, propane, etc at the store, 3 boat launches, and numerous docks. Spacious camp sites to accommodate tents or RVs and travel trailers. 4 stars for being far too crowded, busy, and noisy during the summer season and no sewer hook ups. They do have a dump station but it is a pain to carry a portable gray/black tank back and forth during your stay.

Great camp Hosts, Quiet, clean, kayak rentals, easy boat launch ramps, covered storage for your boat, the list is longer but go see for yourself.

Great place to be during the summer!! So much fun to camp especially during holiday weekends/weeks. Ashley & Scott go above and beyond for their campers. Highly recommend the General Lee ⛺

Beautiful views and fairly quiet during the week. Nice swimming area and several boat launches and tons of small fishing piers. Only negative for me is the back side of the campground has a lot of permanently parked campers and its quite crowded back there. Overall a great time

How come here my family at least 6 times a year I love it when the best places in the area to camp the only reason it doesn't get five stars the restrooms needs a major but would still recommend 4 and a half Stars

A vintage campground. This place has been around for a long time. There are some amazing lakeside sites that you can end up with. Lots of shade as well. We had a great site my kids were swimming off the back bumper. The people running the place are helpful and friendly. The rates are very reasonable, same with paddleboat, kayak and canoe rentals and even anything you might need from the store. However, it's old. 30 amp service only, you aren't getting a big rig around this place or into many of the spots. It has old, old bathhouses that really need a refresh and a better cleaning schedule, and the seasonal spots have all kinds of ramshackle decks, storage buildings and more just tacked up everywhere. It kind of looks like one trip by the fire or building inspector would have the inspector rubbing his eyes in disbelief. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back. There aren't many places with this kind of lake access for the money they are asking. And it reminds me of the campgrounds I stayed in as a kid. Lots of families, kids having fun, and some noise. It isn't perfect, which is why I gave it a 4, but it's a hidden gem not far from Birmingham on a beautiful section of the Coosa River.
