editing for quicker visibility: the cabins and yurt have no bedding despite being the price of a hotel room that would provide these things we were bike-packing the I&M canal trail and it looked like rain so we decided to skip wild camping for the night and get a room somewhere and we figured why not support the local campsite conveniently located right off the trail? their cabins were fully booked so we went for the slightly more expensive yurt. the yurt was comfy enough with ample AC and plenty of room but there were no pillows, sheets, blankets or bedding of any kind (but 5 beds for some reason). idk for $90 a night i would expect a pillow and blanket. maybe the staff forgot to dress the room but who would know as there was no staff on site. hospitality isn't exactly an industry where you can just be absentee. i'd think that for the prices they're charging they could afford a few more amenities or to pay someone to be around...

We stayed here on our way across the country. We found them accessible, friendly, trustworthy and easy. The campground was adjacent to a beautiful cornfield. The sites are level, we did not even have to unhook. Perfect for our overnight needs. I would highly recommend it for an extended stay or on your way across country!

This campground is in a great location. I heard this was a former KOA, which it did look like in layout and style. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Great location to the town of Geneseo and also about a 30 minute drive to the “Quad City” area. A nice quality about the site is that it has a canal and walking path, just a few yards from the campground. Many spots are nicely wooded, giving you shade if needed. If it was a KOA, the spots are a bit close together but not too bad as is typical of a KOA. The one thing you don’t have is freeway noise! Very quiet and restful. The campground was clean and well cared for and a nice play area for kids along with Kayak/Canoe rentals. I wanted to note, that we were camping here with a group, and it was nice to have use of their clubhouse We would for sure return if we were in the area.

We had a confirmed reservation and received good communication leading up to our stay—but the actual experience was deeply disappointing. After 11 hours of driving, we arrived around 8:15 PM to find our assigned site already occupied. There was no on-site staff and only one number posted for after-hours help. My husband and I called and texted multiple times, but we didn’t hear back for over 12 hours—long after we had to deal with the situation ourselves. We parked in a neighboring site with no power, in humid, hot conditions, while traveling with pets. About an hour later, we learned that the spot we moved into had been assigned to another guest, putting them in the exact same stressful position. This clearly wasn’t just a fluke—it was a sign of poor site management. The bathroom facilities felt neglected and unkempt - the shower drain channel was exposed and visibly covered in mold and mildew. I respectfully requested a refund and was ignored until after posting my review. I saw many positive reviews before booking, but my experience was the opposite. We did not feel safe, or cared for - if there truly had been an emergency there would have been no support. Even if a refund eventually comes, this was the worst night of our trip—and it easily could have been avoided. I would caution other travelers to think twice. ***Update: A refund was issued after my review was posted. I appreciate the gesture, though the experience itself reflected serious gaps in support and management.

This is an awesome campground! The sites are very spacious and it's quite and clean. This is a hidden gem and well worth staying if you happen to be in the area. We will be back every vacation.
