Great place for fishing and apparently camping from what I've heard on that part. Clean. Respectful people that work there and take care of the place. Could even be a great learning place for kids and adults alike and 10 out of 10 recommend.

Beautiful state park! There is a covered bridge that provides great views of the water. If you want to rent a kayak to get out on the water, make sure you get there before 3:00. They stop renting them at 3:00 and they must be returned before 4:00.

This place is hauntingly beautiful, yet doesn't feel heavy or dark. It's almost surreal how beautiful it is. We will be going rv-ing here later this year. I will bring my weed eater, though. The grass was little high. South Georgia is known for it's rattlesnakes....and I want to be able to SEE what's in the grass. I highly recommend you go for either a day trip or like us, to camp. There's kayaking available, biking and hiking trails and a museum on site. Beautiful place!

The best flat water kayaking in GA. The park office has super friendly and helpful staff and the campground and it's bath house are well maintained. The beauty of this place shines it's brightest if you get on the water and explore the Cypress groves. 10/10

This park is like going to a shopping center..... you can find something to please everyone! There are activities to satisfy every person's outdoor desires. There is a primitive campsite, a site for RVs and there are cabins for those who don't want to rough it. There are plenty of picnic areas scattered about the park, most with grills. There is a children's play area with modern equipment. There's a couple of boat ramps for you to use. There's a trail for hikers, or you can rent a kayak or canoe. Parrish Mill and the covered bridge provide a nice backdrop. and don't forget about the wildlife! This is a great place for photography! There is so much more to say....... I will let my pictures provide the best views of the park.

Gorgeous place to take a boat or SUP out in the water. They have a ramp and a dock for easy entry into the water. The trees are absolutely delightful to paddle among. There was a large family there having a party of some kind so we could hear their music until we got about halfway across the lake, but it was still a lovely day.

Wonderfully maintained state park featuring an old historic mill and a picturesque lake. Such a tranquil escape! The cypress-filled water and moss covered trees complete the natural beauty this park offers. I enjoyed myself just wondering and wandering through the peacefulness of it all! With activities such as fishing, kayaking, and hiking, you can certainly make a day of it. Unfortunately, one of the hiking trails was closed...

This is the place to kayak. The sites that have water are such beautiful views. You can walk through the mill museum and then there is a loop to walk and see the gopher tortoises.

Small and quiet with peaceful surroundings. The park office is well organized and great for any last-minute items, wood, refreshments, and kayak rentals. Any other items you need, there's a nearby town called Twin City. The park is under repair, and grooming after hurricane season was so bad last year, so the primitive campaign is still being cleaned up as of March 13th, 2025. Same story with the kayak trails way back in the trees, still messed up a little. The water is great kayaking lots to see! Birds, turtles, alligators, snakes, spiders, bees, fish, and many others I haven't discovered yet. 10/10 will visit again.
