Glacial Lakes State Park near Starbuck, Minnesota, is a peaceful and beautifully maintained destination with rolling hills, clear lakes, and scenic trails that showcase the best of prairie and glacial landscapes. The campsites are clean, quiet, and perfect for smaller RVs or campervans like the Mini-T Campervan, while the cabins offer a great stay option for those without camping gear. With calm waters for paddling, good fishing, and plenty of wildlife to spot, this park is an excellent stop for anyone exploring Minnesota’s state parks.

Clean, quiet and diverse. Tent camping, permanent cabins or horse tie out areas for equestrians. Prairie- trails/ flowers, lake- fishing or swimming/ boating or oak forests- shade/comfort and quiet all around. The group area has a huge shelter with an amazing fire-pit area with picnic tables- seating and lots of parking. Most all sites have cook- charcoal grill stands. Bathrooms are mostly out-houses with concrete foundations. Overall roads are nice and gravel is kept up. Signs are clear and easy to read/ directions to all campgrounds. We loved the gigantic dock with 2 Picnic tables, can't wait to have a lunch there! Book early! This park is always full!!!

Nice, quiet park, not very busy when we were there. Have a small swimming area and a place to rent kayaks, babies and paddle boards. The hiking club hike was very nice, as was Mardy's trail that goes around the lake. We've had a wet summer, so the mosquitos are bad, as well as flies. Three big snapping turtles live near the dock by the swimming area and lots of curious fish. Lots of benches and picnic tables to sit and enjoy the early fall!

Stayed 2 nights. Nice diagonal back in spaces with a lot of shade. Clean, quiet. Good hiking club trail ~ about 3.0 mile loop from lower camp ground.

Was a very nice ride and some much needed saddle time achieved . Gal at Ranger Station was very nice and helpful. Horse camp was very clean . Very few bugs, if any . High ties for your horses and no electricity or power in horse camp, but there is a nice outhouse. Will go again hopefully soon.

Campground was a pretty nice experience. The restroom/showers could use a little TLC. Good hiking trails with some pretty views. Campsite was okay not much privacy between sites. Did have swimming areas that look like people were having fun at. They did have a small gift shop that was worth a look.

Beautiful hidden gem. Loved the trails. Many are well worn, but not paved. The views are gorgeous. Paddle boards and canoes are available to rent. Life jackets available. Birding kits available during office hours.

Nice mix of treeless hills, forests and prairie in this smaller park. Park has real nice trails for hiking and has a bike path from the town of Starbuck. Park has a good day use areas, a pretty lake as well as a small horse camp. This park is great for a single day visit. I don't think this park as a destination for fishing and swimming spot since there is so many better options in the area nearby. The campgrounds look extremely cramped and not private but the camper cabins look very nice.

Gorgeous setting amid some of nature's finest work. There are spectacular vantage points for photography, and a low-intensity hike around the lake available to visitors. The park staff does a good job educating guests about the geologic actions that created the terrain features in the area. Some updates are needed in the restrooms, particularly the sinks near the lake bottom, but overall a really nice getaway!

We love this place! Very quiet and enjoyable for anyone! Beautiful for the whole family to enjoy! Barbeque, lake, fishing, picnic tables, good parking, bathroom. Very convenient and fair price for all day parking. I will go again and again! Would love to camp here sometime. Sunset was gorgeous
