The Grand Canyon Village is a historic district located in the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. It is the most popular tourist destination in the park, and is home to a variety of attractions, including the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, the Grand Canyon Railway, the Grand Canyon Lodge, and the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The village is also home to a variety of restaurants, shops, and lodging options. The village is located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and is accessible by car, bus, or train. The village is a great place to explore the canyon, take in the breathtaking views, and learn about the history and culture of the area.

Grand Canyon/Mather

We tent camped here in April 2025 and it snowed. This campground is in Grand Canyon National Park. We loved it here!

The tent sites are incredible. Each loop has tons of campsites but each spot was so spacious, you weren't right on top of your neighbors. Each camp site had their own small driveway to park your car, a picnic table, and a fire pit with a grill top.

Bathrooms were clean enough. We didn't use the showers during our stay.

Customer service was astonishingly bad for how nice of a campground it is. When we checked in, the old bald hag working asked for our site number and loop. I explained to him I didn't have service on my phone to pull up my email with our campsite loop and number at this time (I had SOS), and I asked if I could give him my last name instead to look up. He scoffed at me and told me that it's quicker to look up the loop and site number on his computer. I explained again I didn't have service, but can provide my last name for him to look up. This old bald man literally THREW a stack of papers at me and said "sure if you can find it on this list." I was APALLED. Luckily, I had forwarded that email to my boyfriend at some point with our site info and he was able to bring up our loop and campsite number.

The campground is great location, very clean, quiet, and the tent spots were huge. Other than that old miserable hag working, we had a pleasant experience and would stay there again.

One of the rangers welcomed us at the checkin location. Very nice man! A big shoutout to all the NPS employees in these uncertain times. You people are great!!!!

The campsite was nice, clean and spacious. No hookups at our spot, but that was no problem. We knew that when we booked. When you camp out here, please use the bus shuttles around the national park. You don’t have to stress about finding a parking spot. Just hop and off where you want to!

Would absolutely recommend staying here. It’s always great to camp inside the parks!

Amazing campground. So quiet at night. During the day we saw beautiful birds and elk walking around. At the front of the camping you have a shuttle stop (blue - village route), very easy. No hookups, but you have showers/laundry services etc.

This campground is for dry camping only. There are no hookups. You can fill up your RV fresh water in the dump station.  There are vault toilets but no showers in bathrooms. You have to go to a building by the dump station where there are showers.  Be careful picking out your spot. It’s not big rig friendly.  It was wonderful waking up to Elks in front of our camper. Easy access to shuttle.

Loved our spot tucked in the woods. Many folks enjoying campfires. We used connected bike path to visit Visitors Center. Beautiful setting. So convenient to walk to shuttle buses. Quiet lovely.

Stayed here the 22nd of November, 2021. Got a spot near the southwest area. Area was clean and maintained. Had bathrooms close by. It was easy to get up early, pack everything up, and hit the canyon before the crowds got there. We were lucky had a beautiful morning walk down the Angel trail at sunrise. Grounds were clean and rangers friendly.

Great spot. Enough distance between spots. Nice that showers and laundry is available. The guy at the entrance booth was super chill.

First come first serve during the off season like the other reviews said. Only pine loop and sage loop (group) are open. No problem finding a site here. General store nearby that has everything you forgot including dry firewood.

This campground is a must stay! It really feels like you're in the middle of nature. There were mule deer walking around often and even set up shop near the water spigots and dump station. Water spigots throughout the campground too though. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The site was spread out from others and had a nice fire ring with picnic table.

Humongous campground with a mix of RV and tent campers. The location is hard to beat. The huge number of campers was not really a problem, as the individual sites are very spacious. I never felt crowded. Tables, Benches and Fire-rings at every site. Plenty of clean restrooms. Laundry and shower facilities available. Great place to clean up after a while of dispersed camping
