We camped here one night. Most everyone here seems to be a permanent resident. Staff was friendly enough. Some great views from the observation tower. Camp sites need a lot of work. I had to deal with a wasp nest to get water.

I came here for a family reunion, and at first I was skeptical about how far out in the countryside this was - but it was very nice. The small historical center had a friendly and knowledgeable curator. For us The Pavilion was the star of the show. It had nice seating, functional fans that really helped cool the place off, a fireplace that wasn't in use but looked interesting, and two sets of bathrooms that were easily accessed. The one big downside is there was absolutely no celular reception anywhere in the park. Occasionally I could get brief flashes of a single bar but it was impossible to call text or use the internet any where that I went.

We stayed in the lower campground. Bathhouse is surprisingly clean. Park is very pet friendly. Nature trails are a bit overgrown but still passable. Historic sites are interesting to see. Not just military stuff. The drive around the whole Park takes about 2 hours.

Great place to spend the day! Beware of stray dogs in case you bring a dog.

Full hook ups, big sites, 19th century cemetery and a museum! What's not to love? Take the road thru the park to see the cemetery and the lookout tower. The museum is small but packed with cool items. It's a ways from anywhere, but with the trip.

Wonderful museum and grounds. The fort is interesting and has a large mortar to see. The grounds are very nice. There is a path that you can walk that goes around the compound. Definitely worth stopping at.

I loved this place, quite a bit to see. We spent about 2 hours here. Nice museum, a few different buildings to explore. The guy who greets you when you get there was soo friendly and knowledgeable. Also absolutely beautiful place to take pictures. If you are visiting vicksburg and have some extra time, definitely come out here.

One of my favorite stops on my trip! Reasonable camping fees for what you all get.

This is a really awesome place to visit. There were lots of different buildings to look at. They even had a submarine used for bootlegging. There's an old jail you can go into as well The museum is small but full of different things to look at. The museum worker was full of information if you had any questions. I went on and walked the grounds which was about 2 and half miles. There is an observation tower you can climb and even an old cemetery you can walk through. If you want you can drive through the park. There are picnic tables and benches along the way in more than one area. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

This is a quite park and nice place to catch up and rest on a long cross country trip. The history lesson on the Civil War is great for you military history buffs like me.

I can’t say enough about Grand Gulf ! We spent two weeks there. The sites are concrete and well spaced. The park is very well maintained and a nice laundry room! There are so many things to see at the park ! A great museum and the nicest people work there !! If you love history you can stay busy every day exploring the area!

Very interesting place. Go climb the fire watch tower. It has a great view ( I forgot to take my phone to the top so I have no pictures, but just trust me).

It was nice and quiet. Great exhibits including a hand written letter from George Washington and a submarine moonshiners used to smuggle their moonshine down river. They have nice camping spots and picnic tables throughout the park.
