We stayed for five days in spot #22. Cleanest bathrooms in Grand Mesa! Thank you, Dan. Great, friendly, knowledgeable camp host. Plenty of space at each site. There are a few water spigots around and the water is pretty good. Lost of walking and hiking, fishing, and easy kayak access. No obstructions for Starlink. No power either, bring your own. No dump nearby. Great place!

The campgrounds were clean. Some sites have their own water spigots. The vault toilets were well maintained. The camp host was wonderful to chat with. I loved being near the lake!

Beautiful views and a great lake. My second time staying here. Try staying lower down if your rig has solar. Better view of the sky.

B-E-A-UTIFUL! Crisp air, very, and I mean meticulous maintained facilities, and plenty of space to get out of the hustle. I'll be back!

We were just driving in for a bit, did not stay but the scenery was amazing! It was very beautiful, clean and quiet. There was a lodge with cabins, campground, people fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding but not over populated. Definitely on our list to camp at in the future.

Very clean, very quite, host was very helpful. Some of the cleanest vault toilets I have ever used.

Upper Ward CG is shady and sites are small and very tight for any larger TTs or RVs. Lower Ward CG is much more open sunny and sites are better for TTs and RVs. Neither CG has cell signal. Vault toilets, dumpsters and water spigots. No RV dump though. $22/$11 senior

Ward is one of our favorites to go to on the Mesa, camp sites looking right out to lake, beautiful! Alot of wildlife

One of the most beautiful camps I've been to. And one of the best camp hosts ever:)

Although I didn't camp, it seems like a nice place for smaller RVs and tent campers. Typical federal park with vault toilets and water but no further services. It made a nice place to enjoy a sandwich and a beer while touring the Grand Mesa Byway.

Beautiful and clean campground, good space between most sites. Warning, the lake has lots of rises, but mostly very little fish.

Ward Lake is a nice campground that has two sides with about a half mile road, following the lake separating the sides. Not a lot of shade on the far side. Different types of fire pits, but all had trash left in them 😢 This is one place that fits the saying that if you don’t like the weather, wait twenty minutes, it’ll change. The wind comes from all directions through the day and the wind blowing off the lake adds a little more bite to the wind chill.

I loved this campground. It was our first time there and we were very pleased. The fire camps were close but far enough apart that you had your privacy but the comfort of neighbors as well. The lake is right there so we were able to hike down and go fishing. We will be going back and will recommend to friends for sure.
