Birdwatchers will find the shoreline and nearby wetlands perfect for spotting migratory species throughout the year. If you are looking for a taste of local culture, the town of Taylor is just a short drive away, offering world-famous Texas barbecue and historic downtown architecture, while the vibrant energy of Austin is close enough for a convenient day trip.

This is a nice park, with a wonderful swimming area. It was reasonably clean. Lots of area for kids to run around and play. Loads of fishing opportunities. The picnic tables at the camp sites are well covered. It's a quiet park, also. Review would have been 5 stars had it not been for the bath houses.

Can’t believe it only cost $5 for a day pass. You should know they don’t accept cash, entry can only be done via online using a card. But it’s easy to do

We celebrated Easter here this year and had a wonderful time. It was clean and the restrooms stayed available. Picknik area is cool as hell and covered with grills.

Too far from a store of any kind but other than that it’s a great park with good RV Camping and great lake access boat ramp and huge picnic choices all with decent privacy. Showers are filthy but grateful to have them.

This is just for the swim beach, I have not explored the campsites though it was full of campers on a Saturday. Swim beach is small, but rocks are smooth, and the water is a great depth for children. I went on a Saturday, around 12 p.m., and felt like I had the place to myself. I could see it getting very crowded on during the summer, and there's no shade. I don't feel like there's a lot of room to set up a canapy either. Bathrooms were decently clean. Parking is right next to the beach.
