We arrived late and left early. Only issue was we thought we had booked a 2 queen room and got 2 doubles. Was cramped but worked for the night. We love state parks so the age and etc… of the rooms was expected. It was clean and comfy. We will go back at a later date to see more of the park.

We hiked the fern valley trail. It was pretty easy. Well suited for little ones and adults. There’s a few spots near the lake where you might have to help smaller kids but our daughter and her friend managed well enough. Saw a lot of little toads on the trail. Lots of butterflies and squirrels. We managed to see a Heron fishing and flying. That made the trip in my opinion. We walked around the lodge. Not too much to see in there. Looks like a decent enough place to stay. Staff wasn’t very friendly but I guess you can’t expect much out of government employees having to work a holiday.

What a beautiful place! The lake is clean and green. We enjoyed walking the trails and seen lots of deer. Definitely coming back. Might not stay in the lodge next time though. Our room 204 had a strong mold odor coming out of the air conditioner. Spores flying. We had a fan in the car. So we used that instead. Much better. I mentioned the issue to management. And she refunded me a little bit, for the inconvenience. Hopefully they will replace that air unit soon. As far as the restaurant, the food is great. I had the catfish dinner. Large portion and really tasty.

The park is beautiful. The Charm is lost at the lodge buffet. It's not even a real buffet. They use chafing dishes. No sneeze guards. That's already a issue. They don't take credit/debit cards. Who does that. As for the food quality, it's overpriced limited selection & not really that good. The lemon cake I had was either stale or freezer burned. They had fish but no hush puppies. As for the salad bar. It's alright but again very limited. It's a great place to enjoy some family time. Just bring your own food.

Beautiful setting and lodge with restive, reflective ambience. Ashland area among the best of Kentucky hills and old forests. Friendly staff. Seriously good restaurant in the lodge. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, and will be even better with a modest upgrade.

We're here right now, staying at the campground. This is a gorgeous Park. Everything is fresh, new and clean. Roads have been repaved recently. They're smooth, and black as coal. The Park is very well maintained. I'll be coming here more often, and adding it to my Favorites List.

Just spent 4 days at Greenbo. The setting is wonderful but the true asset at the lodge is the staff. Everyone from the cooks to the desk workers showed true hospitality and friendship. Very much appreciated. I will take my own pillow next time though. Thanks to all the Greenbo staff for making my visit so enjoyable. 😊

Used the park and lodge for our 30 year class reunion and could not have been more pleased! Our server, Whitnie, took fantastic care of everyone and the facility was very nice and clean. I highly recommend this hidden gem for family gatherings and get togethers.

My family had a family reunion this past weekend at the Jesse Stuart Lodge in Green Lake State Park. I was the one who did the grunt work leading up to the reunion – coordinated group rates and contracted with the lodge, etc. The staff at the lodge was exceptionally helpful in the process, answering any questions I had at different times throughout the prep process. The stay itself was wonderful! We reserved a conference room for a central meeting point and simply had a wonderful time. The rooms were well kept. The views were gorgeous. The Lodge itself is well managed. I highly recommend this facility for future family reunions!

It's the best state park we've been to in Kentucky. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The view is great. The best part about this park is the staff. Melissa, Whitney, Tammy, and Kim are all great at customer service. The park itself is very clean, well laid out, and full of history. There are plenty of walking trails and beautiful views. We will definitely be back to eat some of the famous fish.
