Gros Morne/Green Point

This is a small campground, but by far the best place to stay within the Gros Morne NP. There are only 10 serviced sites (water, electricity), all with breathtaking views of the sea. They are also exposed to western and north winds, so maybe not a best choice in severe weather. The remaining not serviced sites (only about 20 or do of them) are all wind sheltered and private. The washrooms and showers are very clean and comfortable. There is a sheltered meeting/kitchen area with WiFi, tables and a stove.

This is one of my most favourite campgrounds in a long while. The small number of campsites were reminiscent of several decades ago. Yet, having the individual water per site, the O-Tentik and modern washrooms created much needed comfort. The camp beach is a great place to watch the sunset. The geological site is a short walk away.

Facility has very clean bathrooms/showers, WiFi, tables and sinks to clean kitchenware. Camping spots are nice, especially those next to the water. Cheap wood. The 4 nights we spent there were definitely worth it.

Very interesting shoreline with fascinating geological history. Highly recommend a visit for anyone who enjoys learning about tectonic plate movements and geology. The short walk from the parking lot is well signed and includes lots of great detail. The little fishing village is great. Didn't stay at the campground.

Falling asleep and waking to the sound of the ocean was divine.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved most things about this campsite. The bathrooms were extremely clean. There was an area with 2 sinks for washing dishes, and plug ins to charge your devices. The trails were absolutely gorgeous and there was so much to do in the area. The only issue was how strict they were with their quiet time. Me and my boyfriend were talking at a normal volume around the camp fire, and a security guard came by 5 minutes after quiet time to tell us to quiet down. Everyone else around us was in bed around 10:00 every night. We had to whisper every night after that, and it took away from the relaxed experience. No one ever played music or ran generators at any time of day, so it is definitely a very quiet campsite.

Had a great one night stay here on our first trip to Newfoundland. I was very upset as my luggage was left in Toronto and I needed cheering up. The staff, especially Tina, were helpful and courteous and made a great impression of what quality people are all about!
