Our 7-day stay at this park was incredible, and here's why: you get the best of both worlds with easy 5-minute beach access and convenient bike trails. The camping facilities are top-notch, and the environment is simply lovely. Plus, the nearby town ensures you have everything you need within a short 15-minute drive. If you value outdoor adventure, quick trips to the beach, and a peaceful, family-oriented atmosphere, you'll love this park.

Gulf State Park is a great place! My husband and I enjoyed riding our bikes, the beaches, and relaxing. We learned that if you are a Veteran, they have a park pass to use! We enjoyed the park daily while visiting. We hope in the future to stay in the RV park!

The lodge was clean and updated. The pool area was comfortable and the beach was lovely. It was nice that there were dining options on site. Parking was a real hike, but valet parking is an option. I hope to visit again soon.

The Gulf State Park is truly a full-featured RESORT! Day use as well as a huge campground of about 500 sites! They really have everything here, including easy walking access to a great beach and a really long fishing pier . The staff is very professional here and they have plenty of people on duty.

Amazing! You have the lake and beach all in one. There is a dog park too. Tons of walking trails and bikes to rent! They really considered a lot when taking on this large project. It's gorgeous all around and close to al the shops. If you want somewhere quieter away from the spring breakers, The Lodge is a great place to stay with direct beach access.

Gulf State Park is an absolute gem on the Alabama gulf coast. The park is well maintained and super clean! There are boardwalks and paved walkways throughout the park with plenty of room for walkers or bikers. In addition, there are hundreds of acres of undisturbed land providing many opportunities for viewing wild animals in their natural habitat. This is a great place for camping, hiking, picnicking, walking, jogging, biking or simply sitting! RV sites are spacious and well maintained.

Best place to visit. We enjoyed a lot by spending our day here. Lots of fun. Nice beach. You can do biking on the nearby trail. Not too much crowded when we went there. Its peaceful and very clean beach. Highly recommend this place for families especially with kids.

We stayed at Gulf Shores Campground for four days and we had an awesome time. We were able take advantage of all of the bike trails here. We also got to ride to the beach. We stayed through New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and it was so calm and peaceful and quiet at night. We had the best lunch at wood side restaurant. We had full hookup and the showers were so great. Donna in the front office was very helpful and Friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Great camping spaces and support facilities. Park was laid out nicely, camp spots were a good size. Lakes, piers, picnic areas and trails were also nicely done. Camp store was stocked well with camping supplies and souvenirs. Fishing pier is a definite plus for this park. Swimming pool was good. Active military personnel and vets also get in free. A definite return to this camp ground will happen this fall.
