Ok I know people can say a place is a notch above and it be hyperbole, but the Hitch-Up RV Park in Haines, AK is a notch above pure fact. Even their garbage seems clean and organized. Clean RV park with gravel roads, but grass (mowed) spots. Full hook-ups at a fair price. Extremely well maintained bathrooms and showers which are included. Yes you do not feel nickel & dimed to death by these owners. Oh the owners, two of the nicest and helpful people I met on this near 3 month rv trip. They told us where to go in town or where to go see eagles & bears. H E L P F U L!!!

Stopped to ask if my wife and I could pay to fill up the water tank in our van. I was told "no we don't do that and slow down on your way out."

Would of been nice to feel welcomed and have a  conversation or at the very least a more helpful response.

This is by far one of the best RV parks I have ever stayed in. The owners are amazing and welcoming, the entire park is well maintained, the sites are all level grass (not gravel!), and the amenities are modern and clean. With 90 available sites with various configurations, they can accommodate many guests without it feeling crowded.

We've been exploring Alaska for a month and this is the best RV Park we've stayed in! The spaces don't offer much privacy, but everyone was well separated during our 4 night stay. The bathroom and shower are new and very clean (and free!). The laundry room is state-of-the-art. It's only a short walk to town. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There are several hiking trails in the area. Be warned that there is some traffic noise on both sides of the park, but at night it is quiet. Highly recommended!

This is a top notch RV park..the owners are awesome,  and take such good care of the park. The grounds are perfect and the bath houses are second to none!!  The laundromat is exceptional and you can't beat the view of the mountains!  The perfect place to land for a night or a month!!

Such a wonderful park. Idea spot to walk to town for dinner out. We saw bears, eagles, owls and whales.  The park has the best laundry room in Alaska. I spent 4 months traveling around Alaska beautiful state.

We stayed here for several nights with our Newmar caravan. There was another caravan there also, so the RV Park was busy.  But it is immaculately maintained and the management/owners were very responsive to our needs.  We did some accidental damage in/out of two of the spots and the campground worked to get the sites back up and operating.  Our team felt horrible, but the owner simply stated it happens, they dealt with it and we all moved on.  What a refreshing approach with so many awful issues out there nowadays.  This campground is not right on the water, but looks to much better and the grass at each site was amazing.  We used this campground to explore Haines, travel to Juneau and Skagway.  Well worth it and the corner spots made for great social gathering.  Our hats are off to this team, we hope to visit with more friends very soon!

This RV site is impeccable. The care taken with the facility is admirable. Showers are very clean and free. All the grounds show pride of ownership. A great stop on our Alaskan/Yukon adventure

This is the best rv park. Some have nice sites, some have clean restrooms and laundry. This park has it all. The sites are pretty level and grassy. The staff was wonderful, and you could tell how much pride they take in their business.

A lovely stay in a charming Alaskan town

We had a really pleasant experience at this campground during our time in Haines. While the staff initially seemed a bit rigid in handling our request, the owners quickly stepped in and took care of everything with great kindness and professionalism.

From extra Wi-Fi access to helping us find a more suitable spot, they made sure we felt welcome and well looked after. Thanks to their personal attention, everything was resolved smoothly and made us feel right at home.

Haines itself is an absolute gem – full of natural beauty and friendly people. We’d gladly come back anytime!

This is hands down THE BEST campground in Haines. This is a family run business. The owners are Super friendly and very helpful . The grounds are immaculate with beautiful landscaping and lush green grass camping spots. The restrooms and showers are sparkling clean. Full hookups. We have a pull through site. Wifi is free and good signal at your camp spot. The showers are free. They have a nice laundry area. The camp sites are large and spacious. The price is fair and worth it. You are an easy few minutes walking distance to the town . The other full service RV park at the waters edge has cramped spacing on blacktop . It’s really no comparison to this place which has lots of green space. This place is worth every penny. They also have cable TV here. I would highly recommend this campground as  the Number 1 choice for camping with an RV in Haines
