Great camp ground. Been here a few times and have loved going each time. Creek side camp sites all around the camp ground. My one tip is to not get a site on the front of the camp ground near the main road if youre in a rooftop tent like I did due to car noises all night. Other than that, this place is great.

I’ve never written a negative review before, but this campground absolutely deserves one. I was supposed to stay here and was only told a day before my arrival that they were dealing with a bedbug infestation. That’s something guests should be informed about well in advance, not right before check-in when it’s too late to change plans. When I reached out to cancel, the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They spoke to me in a nasty, dismissive way — no apology, no concern, just attitude. The way they talk to paying customers is absolutely unacceptable. To make things worse, they refused to refund my money, even though the situation was completely out of my control and caused by their lack of honesty and cleanliness. I’ve stayed at plenty of campgrounds, and I’ve never dealt with such unkind service or disregard for guests’ wellbeing. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually respects its customers and maintains basic standards of hygiene.

We brought our camper and stayed on one of the sites that backed up to the creek which was nice. We liked how close to both towns but the office hours and reservation confirmation definitely need to be specific. The hours posted on their actual site and the Google site are totally different from what we expected. If you aren’t here before 7 they are clueless about late arrivals and they charge a late arrival fee. Details are important when making reservations!!!

We visited this month to attend the annual veterans festival. We stayed on a campsite in a camper. The site was good and had no problems during our stay. The office staff was friendly and check in was very easy. The bath houses were clean and and kept. As with any campground there is always things that need replaced or repaired. We saw evidence that items were being worked on to make better. We know there has been a change in management and things feel a little different with a lot of new faces. W also wish the attendance has been better it was way down from last year. That said we have been coming for years and will continue to visit in the future.

Our family has been coming to Happy Holiday since 1995. Our 2 children loved it there and our grandchildren did also. For the 30 years we’ve been going there NOT ONCE did we ever have a complaint or any type of problem until this year. We are SO disappointed in the park now. Our granddaughter saved up all year so she would have the money to play in the arcade and it is closed, which was not noted on their website. Also, the pool was closed for most of our trip and they could not tell us when it would open. This is In August. We were told the lady who cleans it wasn’t working and they could not give us a definitive answer as to when it would be open. To say our family is upset is an understatement. Who ever bought the campground is ruining it. We heard a lot of campers complain. I just HOPE they read these reviews and will do something. I don’t want to quit coming here as it it a tradition for our family and now our children’s family. Please be more responsible & competent in the way you are running the campground!
