Attended the "Exploring the Land" weekend workshop and opted to add a canvas wall tent on to the experience rather than sleep in the shelter we made. The workshop was wonderful. We learned a lot about bushcrafting. The tent was clean. The heater worked well. It was a very welcoming and peaceful environment. I can't wait to go back and check out the micro cabins this summer.

John is amazing and what he's created is truly unique! He's patient and articulate in explaining his culture with everyone. You truly get a chance to learn and expand your horizons. Kids find is sooo cool to cook over an open fire and experience our authentic Alberta. Come stay at Hideaway - you will have the most amazing time!

John has developed a first class experience in land based harmony. I have taken my middle school students there for land based instruction. I have taken school staff there for land based connections. We are greeted by John and his dog Buddy and once you get there…you feel like you have come home. I highly recommend Hideaway Adventure Grounds for individual or group experiences!

Tue-sat stay. There is so much nature, all the different plant life and variety of birds and soon over seeing a valley a meditation area that just WOW! When the sun is lower the way it shines though the trees. I believe if you enjoy nature and forests that bliss is easily accessible here.
