Very mixed emotions. They have a long list of rules, they follow through on none. I anticipated the noise. I didn't anticipate most didn't leave the dunes until after 9 pm so loud ORV is all day every day. It does tend to wear on you but we can totally overlook that part as it was expected. Beware of the seasonal members. They are very much entitled. Their sites remind me of a trailer park. Blackened, Dirty RVs, pieces and parts of jeeps and trucks and who knows what. 4-5 vehicles per site. Wood is $7 / bundle of 5 or 6 pieces. Plan on bringing your own. I do recommened that while we attempt to protect our forrests and we encourage visitors to not bring wood from home to tranfer bugs we also not rake them over the coals with the cost to purchase. I wouldn't completely not recommend them, I would just rather have been better prepared for my stay by knowing these things.

I don’t know what’s going on with this campground, but I was overcharged for two nights. They charged me $206 for two nights for a tent site With two adults and one child.I’ve been calling leaving messages and cannot get anybody to call me back should’ve been $116 but like I said I was charged $206 Seems a little expensive for the small site we had. I could barely fit a tent on it and park on it. The bathrooms were terrible very dirty toilets were plugged and overflowing no toilet paper. This was our first Stay at this Campground. I recommend you go down the road to the double J. I will be disputing this with my bank as soon as possible.

We happened to be passing through and stopped here on a whim! Gratefully they were able to accommodate. We will absolutely be back for longer!! Cute and fun little town!

Visiting for the first time Sand dunes in Silverlake we had an amazing time. Campground was great nice big spaces. People were very nice. Their food is very good. Their pizza in the restaurant. We stayed three nights bathrooms were very clean. Campground was very clean. People were very nice exceptional for one worker from Hideaway. Campground did not look friendly after my second day that I was there I tried to go to the restaurant and she told me I could not enter the restaurant in the outside patio with my service dog. I told her he had documentation and she demanded the documentation after that she told me well you’re gonna have to walk to the back if you wanna go in with your dog that kind of ruined my emotions for the day discriminating my friend other than that the state was good.

7 people total were staying while we were there 3 nights in mid-June. We were a party of 4 of theb7! Bathrooms were very bad. 90% of the campground is permanent folks (not while we were there). Very junky. Upon check-in they were to honor our Good Sam, never did. Office hours posted not kept.

This has been our family summer retreat for 12 years! Absolutely the best place to enjoy your summer and make memories

Came in July with my son and husband, and had a fantastic stay at Hideaway. Staff was friendly and as was everyone we met while staying there. Nice little pool area to cool off while you’re hanging at the campground. We rented a camper and stayed in one of the pull through spots. The campground is outside of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area but only maybe a 5 minutes to everything. Definitely will be back!

Decent campground, mostly seasonal spots. Grass does not grow well in these parts, so most of the sites are sand, which is fine/expected. The showers are apparently cleaned twice a day and are closed for said cleaning. They were pretty gross, so I'm a little skeptical they actually get cleaned that often, but it is what it is.

This campground was my first ever rv trip, so I will give a different perspective. The campground has 70-89% seasonal sites, which I translated to being long-term ones. Some in their reviews have called this place a trailer park. Maybe at times while taking a walk, it felt like I'm in someone's property as some have built decks, etc. The place has okay washrooms and showers, which I very much needed as my rv's shower and bathroom were too rv'ish for our first timer liking. There were many spots open in the campground, which suggests that folks don't prefer this to the silver lake state campground. The people managing site or more permanent residents , which has also come across in a few reviews , to me seemed nice as I felt good speaking with them. Long term vs short term don't work in such a setting. Would I come here again? Perhaps NO. SItes are small and unlevel, which made parking and finding level tricky for my rental rv with no leveling system in it. Another reason is that I'm not a seasoned camper or rv er and I think I prefer a campground where no one is permanent or long term. Nothing against anyone, just don't want the feeling that I got here.

Best campground in the silver lake area. I’ve been coming here for 30 years now. Super fun and safe for all ages. I was sad to see the main office/shop burnt down.

One of my favorite campgrounds to stay while visiting Silver Lake. I've been here multiple times and never really had any issues. Last time I was here, a karaoke party was going til past midnight but my group was up anyway. After 1am, lights are out. I'm glad they enforce quiet time as I like to sleep at night. This is not a party campground. The rules are made for safety reasons, just follow them and enjoy your camping trip.

This is our favorite campground in the area. We come every summer, multiple times each summer with our 5 kids and always have a lot of fun. We especially love the section right near the front when we camp with our kids as the bathrooms, playground, pool, and store are all very conveniently place in that area. We have never had a bad stay ❤️
