What a great Campground. Amy and Scott were awesome hosts. They accommodated our big rigs. Nice Clean Place.

The staff and campground are fantastic. The campground gives a family feel with options like a Potluck and coffee/donuts morning. The store on site carries an abundance of RV supplies and really nice items to purchase. Grounds are clean as well as bathrooms and laundry room. Views are also spectacular of the area mountains. The campground is near the entrances to the Alpine Loop, either go Engineer Pass or Cinnamon Pass.

Highlander campground exceeded my expectations!! The showers and bathrooms are super clean and it even smelled nice in the a bathroom area lol The windows are always open and everything is so clean. Great customer service! The office closes at 5, but they leave your info on a magnetic board outside, with your  site number...they even told me I could pick a closer one near the bathrooms if I wanted. I think the owners live upstairs, on top of the office and bathrooms. I was car camping in my Subaru and saw few other cars doing the same thing, but the rest were RVs with lights around, so not very dark at night. There's a small waterfall just near the site and in the morning it felt nice to wake up to that sound. Also, 10 minutes driving away - is the spectacular lake with amazing views!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here! Showers had hot water, bathrooms are clean. We didn’t do laundry but they do offer it. Hosts were super friendly and greeted us by name as soon as we drove in & showed us to our site. Pretty quiet place with lots of dogs, we enjoyed the OHV access & hiking the 14ers near by.

We stayed here for 4 nights. As we pulled in we were immediately greeted and escorted to our sites. Check in was a breeze and they were super friendly. We purchased firewood but didn’t use any of the other amenities. We were gone every day but the nights were fairly quiet despite being so close to a highly traveled road. They’re very dog friendly which was appreciated. Parking is a little tight and only one vehicle is allowed per site but their overflow lot is just down the road.

Very nice family-owned campground.  Bathrooms and grounds were kept very clean (a big plus).  When we had a major issue with our pop-up camper,  the camp hosts, staff and guests jumped to our aid and saved our hide.  If it weren't for them,  we never would have made it home with the camper.  We couldn't be more grateful for their cheerful assistance and patience.
We  highly recommend staying with these fine folks.

We really enjoyed it here! One of my favorite things is that we were in an area with long term guests, think retired, no small screaming children! 😉 The view is stunning, the space we had was plenty big, though I did see areas with small spaces. It was nice to take a shower and have laundry facilities, just know that depending where you are, you may need to drive to get there! I believe the price was reasonable, husband didn't complain about it anyway! The guy that helped us when we got here was wonderful in helping us back in the best way (note the last place we stayed, the guy directed us right into a tree 😅) Overall, it's a good, quiet, peaceful stay and we'd do it again! I mostly just wish it was a tad closer to town, but that's not a deal breaker for me. There are bears and other wildlife, but they have strict safety measures in place (no food or trash left out, no bird feeders, lock doors, etc) They do have events like dinners and donuts for breakfast, and a cute little outdoor pavilion.

I did not stay at the Highlander Rv Park but did drive around it and it looks to be first rate . I camped at the national Forest Campground down the road and came there to take showers. It is five dollars, which I thought was a great deal and the people are super friendly. if they are closed, there’s an honor system box to put your money in. This facility appears to be brand new and is very nice and clean with plenty of hot water and clean showers and clean restroom. What a great deal.

These guys are the best. Unbelievable service, very nice campground, clean bathrooms. I love coming here. We've been here four times as of this writing and they've all been excellent. A little hard to reserve at times but that's a testament to how much people like to come here and they will do their best to find spots for you as they can. Thank you!

We have stayed here several times over the years. The campground is small but if they have a vacancy, they are experts at getting your rig into the site. The staff is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Advanced reservations are definitely recommended as the campground is full almost daily. Full hook-ups. They also have pot luck Mondays for campers and Fridays are coffee and donuts.
The elevation is over 8000’ so be prepared. Had a bear in the campground while we were there so again they tell you to be prepared. Campground is pet friendly, has a laundry room.

This place was a life saver. Showers were only $5 for non guest. Beautiful bathrooms. Thank you thank you!!
