Its hard to beat camping at the beach. This park is convenient with the food shack, clean restrooms and shower, and stairs to launch your board during high tide. The spaces are standard and the rates are very reasonable.

Great location. Camping spots are a little tight but awesome ocean views.

Friendly and helpful hosts.  Kind and considerate park rangers.  A little food shack with fresh salada, burritos, sandwiches.  Acess to a beach.  I hooked up to power/sewage but there are other sites as well.  Really good experience.

Wonderful location! I thought it would be a wonderful beach to see the rocket launches from Vanderberg AFB.

I would love to give this five star review because I love having the ocean break right behind my RV. Very very tight spots. They allowed my rv reservation, 35 ft long fifth wheel,opposing slides. We maneuvered into the site, put the slides out. One slide is maybe 3 inches over what they consider "the line". The park ranger on duty Sunday, when we arrived. came and checked it out and told us it was fine. The site next to us has more room than any other site in the park. We arrive back to our RV on Monday evening after a day on Santa Cruz Island to a note on our door that says we have to move our rig because it is over the line. We wait till the ranger arrives today, Tuesday, tell him that the other ranger left a note in our reservation that we were fine and did not have to move. Today's ranger tells us no such note exists even though we saw him write it down and that we have to move our camper over. These rangers need to communicate! We are extremely frustrated,  ruining our plans for part of the day just to inch our camper over about 5 in. The fifth wheel two sites over has been there since Friday. Never been told he's over and the ranger today said he has to move his over about 2 in. Ridiculous. Moral of the story is park your rig with your slides out so you make sure you are not a half inch over any lines. Super frustrated.

"The line" you're supposed to stay in, btw, Is eyeballing between a line on the driveway and a cement bumper at the back of the site.

Great spot on the ocean; spots are pretty darn crammed together, but that was known in advance and not uncommon on the ocean.  Ocean waves can be LOUD, but we appreciated that.  VERY hard to park larger/longer rigs if/when others are parking their TV’s along the road, but nothing I couldn’t manage…. Attendant at the food shop was super rude and in the middle of an argument with someone on speakerphone.  Entering the park requires an undoable uturn for most rigs, you want to come in from the south and heading north to enter to avoid the uturn of doom….

I was only visiting friends who were there. So I have no idea what it costs but I will say it was very nice! It's a little tight and I think only smaller trailers and smaller motorhomes can get in there. It would be a real tough one for like a 40-footer. But that's my opinion, I do not own a motorhome or a trailer so I'm not the guy to be telling you how it is. All I can tell you is that I thought it was very nice, everybody was very friendly and everybody seemed to be having a good time!

We had an amazing 1st time beach camp experience. But there were a couple of negative reviews that I want to give a heads up on. The spaces are tight for the hook up sites , just a heads up for those who have big trailers. And the other con part is the beach access, there’s too many big rocks at the bottom of the stairs that it is hard for seniors/ handicapped people to get to the beach. And there is only a window period of time in the day to go on the beach without getting wet or over thrown by the waves , I wish the beach could be accessible all day through the stairs so we could of gone at anytime of the day instead of when the tides were low only. But at the end it was a learning experience and it was nice to be near the beach  and be able to sleep hearing the waves at the same time.

A glamping gem on the coast, Hobson Beach Park.  The rock wall is a bit higher limiting your ocean view at ground level from the campsite. From a higher vantage point in the RV, it’s not an issue. The only time the beach is accessible from Hobson is at low tide. The campground has clean public flush toilets, coin operated hot showers and an excellent cafe offering delicious breakfast and lunch options. You can camp in a tent, or glamp in your trailer/RV. The sites are pretty narrow and parking is limited. I had to move the picnic table and fire pit to park my RV in my space upon arrival which was a bummer. Sunsets are Wow! Don’t miss them.

It's a nice place to take your RV and spend your day relaxing, be aware of the oil like substance on the beach, my kids came back with their feet plastered with dark sticky stuff, we noticed a few dead birds on the sand with the same substance all over their feathers, not sure if this contributed to their death.

The date is December 3, off season for the beach park. Nice quiet place to relax. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly environment and friendly people.  Good quality food at the Grill.

Hobson is a great spot to camp if you can get one of the good spots. We got one with a view of a block wall but next to us they had an ocean view. The little hamburger shack is great. Price is fantastic.

This was our first time staying here and we stayed 2 nights. Views of the coast are beautiful! The sites are quiet tight and the lines that are supposed to mark each specific campsite are not clear. On the plus side the people who were also camping here were very friendly :) The bathrooms and showers need some attention as they are dated and not very clean. There is no dump station nor water available to fill your fresh water tank. However, there is a service that comes to the campground that offer water and pumping on certain days of the week. There was no place to check-in and the camp host was never seen nor returned our phone call. The ranger came by daily but never walked the premises just drove off.
