I'm a travel nurse staying at Honey Bear by the Sea RV Resort for 2 months. Honey Bear is a hidden gem that you need to see for yourself. If you're traveling along the SW Oregon coast, you should plan on staying here for a few nights. The resort is big, beautiful and very well taken care of. Tammy and her crew are the nicest people and always very helpful and attentive. There is a trail that you can take down to the beach and this beach is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen, especially in this particular area (Port Orford, Orphir, Gold Beach down to Brookings). I've seen all the other RV Resorts around and Honey Bear is the best for sure!

Our stay was incredible! we camped here for a night on our Oregon Coast roadtrip and it didn’t disappoint. We had the spot T10 and it was amazing, very private from our neighbors. Beautiful meadow view and you fall asleep with the sound of the ocean. The showers were nice, HOT water and very clean. Would definitely stay here again :)

We have stayed at Honey Bear three times now and have always enjoyed our stays. Ownership change a few years ago and they have made some nice improvements. It's always fun to see the elk wondering through the park in the morning.

This is our home away from home. We absolutely love this place! The hosts and employees are always so friendly. We would suggest a punch card for those that frequent often for a free night stay or a discounted rate. We live about two hours away and this is the only place we camp 😊 this is our fifth trip this year so far.

We loved our time with the fine folks at Honey Bear by the Sea! Originally, we had planned to spend the week camping at Oregon’s Cave Creek Campground. But when the forecast called for temperatures in the 90s, we looked for a cooler alternative. After striking out at the State Parks, we turned to Hipcamp—and we’re so glad we did. Honey Bear, just north of Gold Beach, OR, was a perfect find. The campsites in the lower part of the park are spacious and beautiful. While there’s a nearby porta-potty, showers are just a short walk up to the RV area. The location is ideal for exploring the Oregon Coast and makes for an easy drive to Northern California and the Redwoods. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Very impressed with this campground! Beautiful grounds with wooded sites, ponds, and some short walking trails. Easy access from 101, but no road noise. Only the sound of the distant ocean waves! There’s a walking path connecting the campground to the beach about 400 feet long, but you have to cross the access road and 101, so be careful. Facilities were clean and well cared for with hot showers. Shampoo/soap was not included, so need to take your own if you use their showers. Would definitely (and probably will) stay here again as it’s MUCH nicer than the other RV parks and campgrounds around Gold Beach. Being a few miles (8-ish) from Gold Beach, it’s fairly secluded with not a lot of restaurants/stores in the immediate area, so be aware of that if it matters to you.

It's not what is hyped up to be!!! To get to the beach, you have to cross 2 roads. Is way overpriced for "premium" prices. Staff was ok, not the friendliness (we asked if we could be together with our friends, she basically said no. When there was PLENTY of room) I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. FALSE ADVERTISING.

This place is awesome. Truly unique as RV parks go. Sites are spread out and surrounded by beautiful northwestern growth. Facilities are clean and easily accessible. The office staff were all very polite and welcoming. My son loved the playground and getting to know the other kids. The sound of the ocean was nice at night. Great place.

I really enjoyed the camp ground! Very clean, lots of options for camping. Clean and Newly remodeled bathroom/showers. Nice of leash fenced dog area. Many hiking trails, ponds and a field for the elk to graze as well. They have changed ownership a few times recently, do have changes, but also more possibilities!!! I hope they open the restaurant back up again! Definitely worth a visit!
