The room was great (I liked the layout of the room, the coffee maker and microwave having their own little area, as weird as that sounds lol), quiet and clean. Parking was easy. There was also a riverside walking path right behind the building, as well as a general store (with some souvenirs too) in front. Check in was a little confusing, but noticed a sign saying to check in at the attached pub, and that was quick and easy. Decent food too. It's (I believe) the only hotel option in Carmacks, but luckily it's a solid choice either way, with everything you could need for an overnight. Would stay again.

We stayed here on a business trip which was a bit wierd as in we stopped and got a room 1st, told the guy at the desk we wouldn't be back till late as we were grabbing 2 pizzas from the place down the street and heading up a mining road to meet a crew about a placer gold claim. The guy at the desk said the room wasn't ready yet as we were there a bit to early but he marked down the room number and security code for the door and said if we were really late to go next door in the bar and the bartender would let us in to the hotel side...well we got in real late and sure enough the bartender was aware of us and also that the hotel had to give us a different room with a different security code and the barkeep had it all in hand. They had also sent us a voicemail and an email but we were way out of service where we had went so knew nothing until we got back to the hotel. Anyways, it all worked out great, the room was perfect and we will definitely be staying here when we make these trips north.

Had a great stay here. They were very accommodating considering we came in really late and didn't book ahead. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was really glad they had a room because there is really nothing else available this time of year in the Carmacks area.

We booked a basic cabin for a one night stay between Whitehorse and Dawson City. The room had 2 comfortable double beds, fan for cooling,a heater, large dresser, chair, sink in the room, a full bathroom and 2 night stands. Had to ask for a coffee maker but the supplies were in the room. Landline phone in the room. TV needed a new coax cable to work properly but we had a work around with a laptop. Nice location across the quiet street from the Yukon River. On site, the lounge/bar had a good selection of drinks and 2 free, albeit aged, pool tables. Food at the restaurant next door, The Goldpanner, was pleasantly good and generous. Lots of parking for vehicles and some rv hook ups. The only problem is the water for hot showers is limited and it smells of Sulphur. That's a local issue, not a hotel issue.

We stayed in one of the little “cabins” behind the main hotel. Our cabin was simple but comfortable and quiet. The Yukon River is very close to the hotel and cabins so you can enjoy a nice evening/morning walk there. The front desk staff were helpful and went out of their way to get us what we needed.

I thoroughly enjoyed the pure variety that this location offered. After so long of a journey, I welcomed the fantastically stocked and plentiful selection of the Grocery store. Whatever you needed you could find there! The bar offered a very pleasant staff and lovely atmosphere to enjoy a cold beverage following a long day. The restaurants food was delicious! I was in town for several days and every single staff member I encountered was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant as well. Certainly manage your expectations, as this is not a metropolis but a long cared for and managed family operation that has been servicing the small community along with the abundance of tourists passing through for a great many years. The RV park was excellent as well, very pretty compared to many that you come across when travelling. I was impressed with the fact that they were well staffed during a time when it is very difficult for employers to find employees .

RV Site experience. The first time we stayed we were treated quite nicely. The grounds were well kept, the washrooms cleanish except that the showers ate my loonies but no big deal. The site we stayed in was a 50amp but they had 30 amp plugs and were charged the 30 amp price. It had a picnic table and nice view. So we decided to stay here again on the drive back from Dawson City and they flat out refused to give us the same site we were in; citing that the motel/RV park never does that. I was treated so poorly by both the manager and the desk reception. Why would I lie about and they didn’t even take the time to check their own records from a few days prior. I totally understand that if they were busy and the site was booked but it’s late and there were plenty of sites. The customer is not always right, but they refused to give me the benefit of the doubt or just some decency. The customer service is just so poor. I will never recommend this place and give it a miss.

Two old girls checked into this Hotel in September 2119...and were deeply thankful for all the amenities and friendliness. I am shocked by anyone being dissappointed. Thanks for being on the highway and providing everything anyone could need. I love the Yukon and Northern people.

Check in was a little chaotic, but the cabin, even without AC, was comfy. Smaller older bed, but ok. Great view. Perfect for me as a truck driver as I was able to park close by.
