Look, it's a beautiful spot, your normal state park, not their fault,but they need more manpower to enforce the rules. I called the desk to report people fishing with a net and a fly fishing only, and nobody showed up.

Everything about this park for camping is excellent. Very lively when all the grounds are occupied. We spent 2 days and we loved the park. Park also has fire wood , parking staff are very cooperative. Restrooms need little more maintenance. I was told ladies restrooms are not clean. If the camp grounds are vacant be very careful as the bear activity will be more. Enjoy camping

Awesome! It is one of the most beautiful and amazing campsites that gives you access to the great river! You'll have plenty of choices to enjoy in the water/river! (Tubeing, fishing, ...) very clean and organized restroom services! Less than 10 minutes (drive) to Kent Waterfall state park! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!!

Direct view of the Housatonic River on the left. Good for Fall views too. Picnic benches on the right and cars can be parked on the lawn right next to them. No grills or restrooms.

I’m not a big camper (actually haven’t been in maybe 10 years?) and this was perfect. They have nice campsites, with distance from other groups although you are still close enough to feel like you aren’t secluded. The bathrooms have toilets, showers, running water, and behind that area is a sink to clean your dishes. We enjoyed site #42 because you can walk right down to the river. It’s a well maintained CT state park and I’ll definitely return.

One of the best spots in CT to camp along the water! The campground staff in the office were very helpful. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean and well-sanitized, following COVID-19 protocol.
