First time here, and likely the last. Today they set fire to the camp ground to do a controlled burn. Thanks for the smoke on the first sunny day. Takes a lot of thought to come up with solutions like this.. Oklahoma isn’t o.k. If you are coming to this park in the next few weeks you might think again. Take away the smoke and the facility is great.

Stayed a week at B section has grass pads. Liked section C and D best because paved pads and good views. Restroom near front gate was clean. Campsite was large. Sign for turn into park was broke off. Grass was tall but mowers came couple days later.

Virgil Point Campground is nicely laid out. The sites are large with table, barbecue. And fire ring. Most have lake views. Loop B sites have plenty of shade. C Loop sites are open sites. The boat ramp area has plenty of parking spaces. The restroom/shower facility is very clean. Electric and water available. Dump station is located on the way out of the Campground. The only concern is the vault toilet in the B section needs to be emptied. (Splash back. Not sanitary). I will be visiting Virgil Point Campground again.

Stayed here during off-season at Christmas time. Stayed in the southern campground – C. Extremely reasonable for seniors and senior passholders. Worth checking it out.
