Beautiful trails. Just wish they were marked better. Some how the trail we were in ran into a road. Not sure if that was the end or not.

Enjoy the nice spot to take the kids and get some pictures and scenery. Next time I'll explore More when I have some more time.

My wife and I visit usually once a year if not more. The view is beautiful and worth the trip alone. We love history and seeing the historic displays is really fun. There is even a log pile the is meant to be climbed on. There are a ton of stair. So, be ready for that. There are a lot of things to see that don't require the stairs if you aren't able. We usually stop down the road at Iargo Springs. There are so many stairs. I'm not exaggerating, Iargo Springs will give you a work out. I think there are more than at Lumberman's Monument. There are rest spots with benches, though. Thankfully, it's not just one long stretch. I highly recommend both, they have been favorites for us for many years.

An absolutely stunning place to visit. Some great history to learn, trails, and sand dunes.

Always beautiful, but especially during fall colors šŸ‚šŸ The forest discovery trail and the dune outlook are well worth the short walk.

A great bit of history! Lots of information and great views. The stairs down to the river number 242, so be ready to get your steps in. Kids loved climbing on the log jam structure there! They played on it for ober an hour and wanted to stay longer! Soft rubber bits at the bottom but stil need lots of parental overwatch! I even joined in and played on it a bit with them! There are lots of trail heads along the way to and from the monument! Beautiful sand dunes near by and wild flowers! Bathrooms and gift shop on the premises as well.
