Great views, the only draw back is the water access is a bit longer path.

Beautiful scenic views, best spots 10 and 8. No showers and basic facilities, campground host was very nice.

This quaint campground is a classic Forest Service campground. It has the rarity of having much nicer tent sites than RV sites in my opinion. The tent sites have direct views of the lake in a meadowy forest. This would be a great site for boaters with two sturdy docks that can accommodate several boats. We have paddle boards and kayaks and were quite disappointed by the steep trek to the water and back UP! We ended up not paddling from this location as much as we normally do. Jan does a great job of managing and maintaining the facility. I highly recommend this campground for its sites and for boaters, but not for paddlers.

Bell Bay campground was fine but not great for a visit. Banks are really steep for getting down to the lake, there is a trail to the docks, a little far to carry the kayak. No beach, could use some trail upkeep, but the restrooms were clean, camping area was clean, nice friendly host. And the view is great. We will probably find another campground with better water access next time.

Camp host (Jan) was excellent. Huge help with finding a spot. Great spot.. Bit of a drive, but no reflection on the site. Camp host (Bobby) at Beauty Creek was huge help with getting us over to this site, because his place was all booked up..

Fantastic old school Forrest Service Campground perched above the lake and bathed in ample shade from the trees! Amazing swim dock for cooling off in the lake. Clean spacious campsites. About 15 minutes driving to reach Harrison for supplies.

Beautiful campground (lower loop) and views. Clean, nice camp host, very quiet. Access to the lake by a trail at the lower loop. NOTE: If you’re pulling an RV be aware of the last few miles (paved after the dirt), as the road is big enough for you and that’s it. Nowhere to pull to the side if you were to meet another RV coming up/down. Would be a very interesting situation. Park service also needs to cut back the bushes as there are a lot of blind corners. Will stay here again.

Love this campground. Great camp host. Great views. Swimming dock. Not for big rigs. $21 or half off for senior pass.

We planned to spend three nights here but the smoke from Oregon suddenly appeared and we left after one night. We were so sorry not to be able to say good buy to our fantastic hosts Keith and Caroline. They were so helpful and fun. They went out of their way to accommodate us. I hope somehow they see this review and understand why we disappeared. We are Erika and Andy Kalman from Ann Arbor Michigan. The campground has access to the lake and although the water was cold it refreshed us on the hot day. The upper loop had been closed and the lower loop had only a few sites so we were lucky to get the last spot when arrived around 2 pm. This campground was recommended to us by our daughter who stayed here in June with her family.

Friendly host (who raced my kids on their bikes), beautiful sites, great docks

Nice place to camp, very quiet and clean. The bathrooms are all long drop toilets but are well maintained by the hosts daily. Visiting in July there were mosquitoes but that was expected as it is in the forest. The few downsides were; the road to get to the campground was quite long and were on skinny, windy roads. Also, it was nice to have water access but in order to get to the water you would have to walk down a steep hill and all that was at the bottom were 2 docks and no beach. But in the town of Harrison not too far away there are quite a few beautiful beaches. I highly recommend Carlin Bay Beach in Harrison, Idaho!

Water is easy to access, and Outhouses are kept in good, clean condition. The campground managers were helpful, friendly and always easy to find. The view from several of the sites is absolutely breathtaking (if you like water), and the fishing from the docks was outstanding! We will definitely be back!
