Nice place for the site seeing and enjoy a mild fall scene , good parking and also a Halloween drive through with equally scary portraits.

What an unexpected gem! Took the camper for the weekend. Exceptionally clean and well -maintained park with some unique surprises. We found two cool historic graveyards, one accessible through a vigorous 1 mile trail. There was an amazing cave with prehistoric petroglyphs. There was an old town with demonstrations of broom-making and soap making. There was even a lovely winery in nearby Brownville. Will definitely be back.

The drive out isn't so much fun. But it is most definitely worth the hour and a half drive. We took all 3 children with us and they had a blast! As soon as we got in the car to leave, they all asked when we could come back to this park. We visit A LOT of parks in nebraska and this one is certainly a favorite now!! There's playgrounds throughout the park to keep them entertained. We played Frisbee and baseball while we were there also! 2 of the 3 kids LOVED the "overlook". My wife and stepdaughter apparently have a fear of heights! Lol. There was just so much to do and check out there, it was awesome and we will most definitely be going back!!

Very nice state park with lots of available camping. Middle of the summer and it was maybe 1/4 full. Lots of winding roads and trees. If you are into hiking it has many trails. Keep in mind that it is all hills. For recreational biking the hills are too much--need a vehicle to see all the sights. Don't go just to see the Indian Cave. You can't get very close to it and it's been carved over .

I hiked on trails 8,3,2, and 8A. Did 7.4 miles 3 hrs 2 mins. I went up to half breed cemetery, and the scenic looked out. I didn't see another person on the trails. 8A trail runs along the river. They have been working on some trails because of the rains. The trails are pretty good overall. Today may 8, and I hiked trail 3 and 3a. Some reason my alltrail app wasn't working right. I think I did around 8 miles. There is a lot of up and down on these trails. Very good workout. Was here again today. The Paw Paw trees looked good. Some had fruit on them.

I spent over five hours exploring trails: 10, 9, and all of 5, 5A, 5B, and 5C and enjoyed the terrain and inclines. The trails are dirt or dirt and grass. I went the day after a pretty good rain and the trails were still accessible. They were a bit slippery in spots but for the most part easily travelled. There are some great, hike in campsites available along these trails also. I parked by Trail 9 which gives great access to several trails in the area and has a great little pond to sit at when the hike is over and is just a few steps from the car. This park is a beautiful place to spend a day or weekend.

I spent 4 hours walking and riding around. I had a day pass that cost $7. There are petroglyphs to look at, trails to walk on and overlooks to see pretty far away. Most of the places were wheelchair, friendly. Indian King State Park also has camping.

Came to do some backpack tenting and found a wonderful spot up on the river bluff. About .7 mile hike from the parking area there was a nice clearing with Adirondack shelters. I didn't use them for my night but can see where they would be great in inclement weather. Will definitely be back to explore more sites!
