Magical, extremely well put together and organized, easy to enjoy campground close to Nevada City. Professional, warm staff, clean bathrooms and kitchen. Great internet (unless you're in a tent at the far back of the grounds), clean swimming pool. I can't say enough positive things about this place. The trees arching overhead as you sleep in your tent, the landscaping, the trails, the beautiful way all the sites blend is top notch. And laundry! I met a lot of staff but in particular I got a lot of great info from Sara and Teena. Rita, and all the staff are really awesome. You'll enjoy your stay here without a doubt. And great price compared to other rentals!

This is our second visit to Inn Town and we will absolutely be back. The campground is conveniently located, yet feels tucked away in the California redwoods. It is immaculately clean, well-cared for and stocked with amenities. We were able to trek to town with our wagon via the meadow behind the grounds, and on Sunday morning, a real steam engine train passed by the campground, an unexpected fun treat for the kids thanks to the railroad museum next door. There is open space for kids to play, and campsites are thoughtfully placed so each one offers a bit of privacy. Yuba river swimming holes are a few miles away, and well worth the scenic drive. Thank you for a great and memorable stay, Inn Town!

We had a great experience here. They have a pool and movie nights for the kiddos. The atmosphere is calm and we had no concerns letting the young children of our group roam all over. It felt very safe. A peek in the glamping tents was impressive. They look very comfy, have power, fluffy bedding, a fan for cooling. No campfires allowed here, not even charcoal grilling in your campsite. They have propane campfires for rent, and charcoal grilling can be done in a couple designated cooking areas - so the necessary fire safety will not disrupt any meal plans you might have. They also (unique to any campground I've been to) have a full indoor kitchen with all the equipment you might need. Just bring groceries and a cooler! The 2 other outdoor cooking areas for grilling also have double kitchen sinks nearby and garbage cans. Easiest camp dishwashing experience ever! And warm water for hand washing (so nice on a cool morning)! Everything was so clean. Showers were great, with a mixture of indoor and outdoor showers. There were plenty of locker room type shower stalls (we never had to wait) as well as a private family bathroom with shower at the pool area. This is a VERY handy feature for travelers with kiddos who are too big to use an opposite-sex bathroom with a parent, but too small to be able to use their own gendered bathroom on their own for showering.

This is our favorite campground. We come every year, and love coming the Fourth of July. We bring our 3 kids; and camp with our friends. It has everything you need, RV hookups, community kitchen, pool, short walk to town. This year the owners gave all the kids Rice Krispie treats at checkin, brought popsicles by the pool. The owners drove around checking on us to make sure we were comfortable. Each camp is so clean. We had truck trouble this year and had to call AAA for our truck and trailer. They were so understanding and accommodating during this time. Love this place.

I generally don't go camping and have essentially zero camping experience but staying at Inn Town Campground was so comfortable and fun - if I had to "camp", I'd do it here! The facilities are maintained impeccably - restrooms, community kitchen, our glamping tent, picnic tables... There are lots of activities to do on the campgrounds including a super fun train ride, nearby trails, or even exploring downtown Grass Valley. None of the 8 kids in our group (ages 2-8) ever said they were bored or asked for a device to play with. We stayed in April so it got quite cold at night but the glamping tents have heated beds so it was pretty comfortable for us. If someone is staying in the tent on a cot, I would bring an extra heat pad or heated blanket. I also appreciate that the campgrounds are easily accessed from the freeway. You don't have to drive through narrow roads with hairpin turns through a forest to find it, but you still feel secluded and immersed in nature while you're there.

great campground near nevada city. They even have showers (we didn't use) and a shared kitchen! Campsite was clean and incredibly quiet considering the proximity to the highway.

Stayed here in my sprinter van to be closer to Lake Tahoe to ski the next day. They had some snow on the ground and notified me of that and allowed me to last minute cancel if I needed but I went anyway. I got stuck in the snow with my van and Maureen at the campground was an angel and helped me shovel out and get on my way. Super clean bathrooms and facilities. Would highly recommend this campground.

Our First Time Glamping With a Toddler at Inn Town Campground! We stayed in the Yurt, and honestly… it was perfect for our little family getaway. Cozy, spacious, and so much easier than traditional camping — especially with a toddler! The campground has everything you’d hope for: clean and modern common bathrooms (a HUGE win), beautiful grounds, and amenities that make the stay feel effortless. From the camp store to the communal kitchen and lounge, everything was well-kept and super convenient. Nevada City’s charm + the comfort of glamping = the best experience for our first try. Already planning our next trip back.

This place is amazing! It’s close to Nevada City which is a great place to explore, shop, and grab a bite to eat. The campground layout is beautiful, there are heated glamping tents-with heated mattress pads! There is a nice gift shop in case you forgot anything, a stocked communal kitchen with a nice dining room right next to it, clean showers and bathrooms and an area to gather for games or to hang out and read a book if it’s raining outside. Did I mention the propane fire pits for s’mores?? We had a wonderful time here and highly recommend it.

I've been camping at Inn Town since 2015. It's such a beautiful campground, surrounded by trees, nicely designed and spacious campsites. Erin and Dan have truly created something special in this town and it's the perfect backdrop to the swimming in the Yuba river on a hot summer day! Also, great place to stay in the cooler months. We look forward to our annual stay there each summer. Thank you for all you do to provide this epic place to enjoy and relax!

I love this campground! Amazing location if you want to also be able to easily access all the fun Nevada City has to offer. The campgrounds feels like you’re in the woods but it’s only a 15 min walk to downtown and a 5 min drive. There are a ton of amazingly clean restrooms including showers and dishwashing stations. They even supply sponges, drying rack and dish soap! The campground is great for kids, too. There is a beautiful little swimming pool with immaculate facilities. Tons of stuff for kids to explore including a mock downtown, old trains, gold mines and fun well marked trails. During the summer they also have movie nights on a projector screen! Just a few seconds from the front gate there is also a railroad museum and the option to ride the mini train around the campground.

This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at, and I've camped a lot. They don't nickle and dime you for little things, like paid showers. They are free because you're staying there. Little things like that. Erin was super helpful. It's the little things like good signage, lighting, walking distances, etc. I just really enjoyed it. Will be back!

This place is a must visit if you’re planning a camping trip! The amenities alone are amazing! They have weekend movie nights, a pool and the local train museum next door. It’s great for campers of all ages! Bathrooms were clean, showers were awesome and there’s lots of things to do. Highly highly recommend!!

By far the best campground we have been to. Clean. Has everything you need. Glamping tents are perfect. Heated bed. You can rent fire pits. There are charcoal grills for use otherwise bring your own. Showers and community kitchen. Pool. General store. Outdoor movie. Chess. Right by train museum. Close to Nevada city. Just perfect ! Dog friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn Town Campground! Everything was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The attention to detail and the charm of the place really made our trip special. We did run into a small hiccup—our van broke down just a few minutes before checkout. The team was kind enough to help us out with some tools (thank you for that!), which we really appreciated. While we were sorting things out we needed to cool off from the heat, we jumped into the pool just one minute past checkout time and went to the bathroom. A staff member, that knew we had been struggling, came by to remind us that we weren’t allowed to use the facilities after checkout and she went on and on about how they have to be strict about this policy. She was polite, but given the situation, it was a bit awkward and added another layer of stress. A little more curiosity or compassion about what was going on and how we were doing would have gone a long way, especially because everyone else had been so helpful and had checked in on us. We were well aware of the policy and absolutely would have left on time if not for the unexpected breakdown. That said, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. We’d absolutely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run campground experience!
