Absolutely lovely trails!!! Kept up very nice and is clean! They have very accessible restrooms as well. This is definitely a trail to come visit if you're in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The views are breathtaking and the people who visit the area are also so very kind!

9/29/25 2pm. A nice and interesting State Park to visit along the St Croix River. Typically busy, but not on this Monday is why we went. Barely anyone there and as a result lots of parking. It was unseasonably hot, 85, so we didn't do a lot of walking around like we usually do. The unusual rock formations in the park are a contrast to the rugged jagget rocks and cliffs along the St Croix River.

I had never heard of Interstate State park and have lived mostly in Minnesota most of my life. So, for me personally on this Labor Day adventure the enjoyment for me was seeing a part of Minnesota I didn't know exist. I'm overweight and out of shape so was a bit intimidated by a lot of hiking. I did though see the visitor center and go a short way down the potholes trail near the visitor center. I was very impressed by what I saw and there were lots of people there and it was a short but fun enriching experience. It was nice to commune with nature and see these potholes. I'm truly amazed by the glacial potholes. I found inspiration for my fitness goals maybe to hike there someday. I will hopefully return and do a longer hike, camp etc. I really liked it there though and it was beautiful late summer weather. I highly recommend anyone check out this place.

One of my favorite parks. The stairs on the bluffs trail look like they need some love, but otherwise great views, lots of trail options, can ride the paddle boat for a fee (as of my post, it's dog friendly as well at no extra charge). There's canoe/kayak rental and a shuttle bus that will bring you back. Lots of options. Campground is less than a mile down the road from town.

Stopped by after work, this place was recommended by coworker. I’m visiting from Houston and I love sight seeing. It was not busy during my arrival on a Wednesday around 7pm. Paid 7 dollar for day parking. You can always enter through the Minnesota side also and the parking uses the same tag. Plenty of parking and I notice there’s a couple of park benches along the way. Trails were very nice, easy for folks of all ages to trek. You can explore the rocky area at your own risk, I wouldn’t recommend it for kids unless you feel comfortable. This place is really beautiful and I wished I had more time to explore. Mother Nature is a true artist.

Great park for spring hikes. Lots of spring wildflowers blooming. The trails were mostly dry with a few wet or muddy spots. Dog friendly with a leash ( hint hint other dog owners), and plan to hike any poop bags out because there are no garbage cans along the trail. Great views of the river in a few spots.

A place that’s not only beautiful, but filled with a deep history too. Also near some grand Wisconsin and Minnesota wineries. We will definitely return. If I had only one demerit in 2025, the north campground could be a little tidier. Lots of cut trees lying about.

One of my absolute favorite spots. Amazing views, beautiful cliffs, and nice town surrounding it. Very cheap for the day. Only bad thing is that the river is kind of brown

What a remarkable view from this state park! There’s so much to do, from learning about North America's largest glacier potholes to taking in the beautiful scenery, riding a ferry, kayaking, and hiking. There are endless opportunities for breathtaking views. They even have a selfie station, making it easy to capture memories with friends and loved ones visiting you. The park was super clean, and overall, it was a fantastic experience.

We had a really good time! Great day for exploring and what an awesome infrastructure. We took the boat tour and went for a short walk to see the potholes. Very cool nature formations. The leaves are absolutely Stunning in the first week of October. Would 100% recommend. I want to go back and go on the canoes, camp and hike more. Beautiful place.

We visited the Minnesota side on this very nice, warm March Day. We were surprised the Parking area near the “pot holes” was closed and there were no rest rooms available either. Considering that you have to pay for these parks , I expected a little more. Don’t misunderstand, we love these parks and spent a couple hours on the trails! The trails are a bit icy and grippers on your boots are a must! The river is opening up and was beautiful as usual, we recommend a stop at this park even this time of year!

The shower building needs cleaning with bleach. Hair, dirt and cobwebs in the corners- nothing improved in the 3 days we were there. We have stayed in many state parks and clean showers/bathrooms rate high on my list. The park is in a good location and heavily used. We came to kayak the river and visit the nearby towns.

Fun place to explore . We have been here several times as we live close by. You can meet people from all over the country and world for that matter. A chance to realize we all actually like and respect each other. Put that on the evening news!

Gorgeous, mostly clean trails, most of which my fiancé and I would classify as "moderate" on the difficulty scale. Something beautiful to look at everywhere you turn. Nice picnic areas tucked away throughout the park. Visiting the quaint town of Taylor's Falls and Interstate Park will be a regular thing for us this year. Great way to spend the day.

I really had a good time at the Minnesota side of Interstate State Park today. There was a logical 3.8 mile hike through the park's three most important trails that was a high quality workout on hilly ground near the river as well as providing an assortment of great views and photo opportunities. Of course, the highlight was the climbing--there was plenty of boulder space available with lots of novice climber friendly problems. I didn't try the roped, but there were plenty of people there for that who seemed thrilled. Really enjoyed this park and would definitely recommend!
