What an amazing campsite, this was my first time doing a first come first serve campground and I was pretty nervous about getting a site because all of the other reservation based campgrounds in the area were booked up for the weekend. We arrived on a Thursday at the end of August and got site 8 which had a view of the river. My only suggestion would be to not pick a site that is super close to the bathroom just because it was a little bit stinky when the wind changed directions💩 they have vault toilets that were surprisingly less stinky inside than out. It’s $30 a night but you really can’t beat having the river so close by

Picture perfect campground nestled at the base of the road that leads up to the entrance of Yosemite (30 min drive) Fishing was plentiful with lots of nice spots if that’s your thing Mammoth lakes around 40 minutes away

My all time favorite place to camp. You can't beat camping under the stars, and listening to the creek as you fall asleep.

Bathrooms clean. Potable water. No showers. First come first serve. Pay cash. Firewood at the host across from the camp.

Hidden gem for sure. We have been coming here for years! Camp host is always nice, very clean and the bathrooms are not awful! I am 100% not the camping type but my husband and boys love it so I always tag along. Big Bend is hands down my favorite place to camp.

Right on the River with shade and trees. Hidden gem and camp with flush toilets & Host, First come camping. Not in the park but its not that far into the park. Great option for those without a reservation. I was there on Aug 10th a Sat 2019 and there were open spaces!

Awesome campground in a beautiful spot on the creek. Conveniently located near Mono Lake and Yosemite. In the spring the sound of the rushing water in the creek is incredible. In the fall you have the aspen trees turning into a beautiful display of gold leaves. Definitely a great spot to camp for a night or even a week!
