June Lake is a small resort town located in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. It is situated in Mono County, just south of the Yosemite National Park boundary. The town is surrounded by the Ansel Adams Wilderness and the John Muir Wilderness, and is a popular destination for outdoor recreation. Beautiful!!!! Loved this small campground! Marina has showers you can purchase coins for, general store has wood. Small beach you can access and paddle board from. Very quiet after 10pm everyone is super respectful. Bathrooms are very clean (just bring your own camping safe soap). Lots of mosquitoes. My kids are already asking when to go back.

August has challenges for weather. In three days we've experienced them all. This evening was beautiful to finish the trip. Clear with lots of stars. 2026 July. We are back, came a month earlier to avoid challenging weather. It has been beautiful so far 75 in day with 40ish at night. A must stay at place.✌️✌️

Best camping trip ever. Firewood was provided for $10 / .7 cu ft, the restrooms were clean, and water spout were abundant.  The campsite is walking distance to town and 5 minutes to the beach or the marina if you want to rent a boat/pontoon (Do that!). There were a good amount of flies one of the afternooons, but minimal bugs and mosquitoes overall.  A deer wandered into our campsite which was a real treat. Great spot and we will be coming here again!

Lots of privacy between spaces. Perfect mix of sun and shade. Sooo quiet. Camp host is very welcoming and helpful. Marina right next door.

Nice place to camp, clean Restrooms with running water. People respect the 10pm quiet time. The lake is beautiful and clear.

Best lake campground. Host was very friendly and helpful (I thought he was retired hippy Santa Claus 🎅).  Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Next door is a marina store for ice and whatever you need for fishing (they were also super helpful and friendly).

We spent five days and nights at the June Lake Campground. We go here every year. It’s always clean as are the bathrooms also. You have your own beach to play on and the June Lake Marina is right next door. Walking to town for dining and shopping is a nice walk.:

T-6 in our opinion best tent spot. Close to trial to the marina and showers. Camp host Jack is awesome.! Bathrooms at campground are doable they flush and are cleaned daily. The camp sites could use some tree trimming and firepits maintenance but nothing really wrong here. Nice swimming spots kids friendly. We enjoyed our trip here.

The campsites were close together but had trees for privacy. There is not a lot of room for a tent.  There was a small amount of trash in our site when we arrived. The bear box was dirty with ash and had to be swept out before we could use it.

The fire pit is very shallow and needs to be cleaned out. It looks like it has never been cleaned out.

The bathrooms are moderately clean. There is no direct access to the lake.

You have to go around through either marina. There is one on each side of the campground. There is a trail but has not been maintained and is overrun with brush.

The fishing here is incredible. If you are here to fish, this is a nice campground. The marina next door has sinks to clean your fish. They also have showers. This was the best feature, and it is not associated with the campground.

There are a lot of mosquitoes, be prepared!
