I have been coming to Ironwood Point my entire life. In my opinion it’s in the most beautiful part of the lake, complete with stunning views and perfect sunsets. We keep our boat docked here, and the boat launch is one of the best on the lake. There’s also a gas dock if you need your boat filled up. The camp store is a hidden gem of a place! Some of the best lake merch you’ll find is here. Every time I stop in I seem to find a new t-shirt, sweatshirt or hat that I really can’t live without. They also have thought of so many items that we seem to forget or need often and the convenience can’t be beat. The owners are the kindest people, and they always find the time to say hello. There is ample parking. While I’m personally not a camper, if I were looking to camp anywhere on the lake, this would certainly be the spot. If you haven’t driven down to check it out, you’re missing it!

It was a very nice launch with clean bathrooms and looked like a nice campground. We enjoyed a wonderful day of sailing with members of the Paupack sailing club .

Absolutely loved staying here I could not get over how beautiful the tent sites were. The views of the lake are great and the sites are well spaced and maintained. The walk in sites aren't far from the parking area and offer the best experience to really feel like you are surrounded by nature. Already planning a second trip before the end of the season highly recommend.

Stayed over 4th of July last summer. (Just getting around to writing review as I have started to plan camping for this summer.). Very nice campground! Owners were very nice and little store on site has anything you need. Lakeside sites very nice, hoping to snag one this year. We had Site 48 which was very convenient for unpacking and going to restrooms, but lakeside sites looked much better.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. I rented a site on the lake for my son's first camping trip and it turned out to be quiet, idyllic and a memory for the both of us neither is soon to forget. I was prepared for the wood to be expensive, as it is usually a large source of income for these campsites, but it wasn't. Thank you guys.

We had an excellent time at Ironwood. The tent sites are nicely sized and spaced out well. The lake views are beautiful and the campground is well maintained. The bathrooms and showers work well (especially for a campground). I highly recommend the visit.

Great, well kept, and quiet campground. The owner was sweet and accommodating. Easy access. Nice little camp store. Even ran into someone I knew from back home! Plenty of activities nearby... boating, hiking, zoo, etc. No sewer, but we knew that coming in. Dump station access is good. Only downside is the showers are pay per use (5 minutes) and they take a little time to warm up. Will definetly be back. Thanks Doris and Tom!

Lake Wallenpaupak is a beautiful lake. We went out on a weekday so it wasn't as busy. There was plenty of parking for boating and camping guests. The hill down to the boats is fine on the way down, but much more difficult carrying everything back up. Just pull your car to the bottom to load up to avoid that. Old docks and old stairs can always use repairs. You cannot really hold the stair rails without getting pricked or getting splinters. Some people need to be able to hold the railings so they could use updating. Ironwood also has usable bathrooms near the parking lot, but bring your own sanitizer. If you are out past sunset, bring lights with you too so you can see to dock, lock everything up and load everything back in your car. There is a little lighting in the parking area, but none on the walkways. Decent place to dock your boat.
