i would like to start off by saying we will not be back to island oaks resort we go every year for my birthday , and they said to us that they had a special going on rent one cabin, and get one so we order 3 cabins for our daughters and me my husband to have one by our selfs , my card on file was 963.00 and my husbands card on file was charged 500.00 and something called and spoke to sara and she never return my phone nor called me back i was blowing up there phone lines final got ahold of sara again today on 05/15/2026 , she let me know that nothing she could do for me the only money i got back on my card was close to70.00 and i said for 2 days cost us between me and my husbands card was close to 1500.00 for 2 nights , so be aware they will charge your card and not tell you what the cost will be the only nice one up there her name was terri that stayed late so she could greet me and wish me a happy birthday in person so be aware of island oaks and check your credit cards while your there , when you leave and check out !!!!!!!!!

We stayed here during the off-season, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The heated pool was perfect for swimming, and the cool evenings made sitting by the fire so relaxing. The staff were all extremely friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. There were activities to keep the kids entertained, and the golf cart rental was a big hit. Honestly the only thing missing is a water park or splash pad for kids. The loaded Buffalo fries are AMAZING. I would come back just for those ;)

Overall 4 Stars from me. First time here - park is super spacious - even the 40' + Rigs can move with ease. A ton of Amenities - was cooler and off season so we didn't really get to enjoy them.

The ONLY reason this Review isn't 5 Stars - "The Resort Wifi" - Our RV spot was right near the entrance to the Park and we were backed up to the Pond. We were lucky to get 1 Bar of Wifi and it was a struggle to even stay on their Network - and it was the offseason and 1/3 of the Park was empty. I can't imagine how bad it is during peak season.

BUT - this was the deciding factor for us to Invest in Starlink and we will definitely be back to Island Oaks

Management - please take the Wifi issue into consideration

We stayed in the park for 3 nights and enjoyed all it had to offer,  from  crafts to bingo to trivia to the heated pool, lake,  and nice adult only hot tub area!! We played corn hole and planned to play mini golf but between the weather and other activities we just ran out of time!  Everywhere we went cleanliness was a main priority here!! We never had any issue with any restroom, bath house, pool, or restaurant being unclean! We will definitely be back! They have adult times, activities,  etc. as well as child activities which was nice! We rented a golf cart, which i highly recommend due to the size of the park!

Island Oaks is genuinely one of the nicest parks we've had the pleasure of staying at. The grounds are well kept. They are always updating and upgrading. The staff is the nicest we've ever had the pleasure to deal with.

During my stay I had a series of medical problems. The staff assisted us with excellence,  took care of us as well as they could,  and made things so much better. We are very greatful for your excellent team.

It was a wonderful RV park. Its fot a lot of charm and unique ways to stay. It was super clean and well kept. Everything was decorated (bath houses, laundry rooms, all guest areas). There is so much to enjoy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the pool was NOT heated and  it was cold.
We had food and drinks, all wonderful. The live music was great and the activities lots of fun. I see many more trips in the future. Of the hundreds of places we've been in 10 yrs. This is a top 3 for us.

As a side note.....
$10 per day on personal golf carts is a real rip off in my opinion. Thats why we didn't pay for other outdoor activities like the paddle ducks $15 hr or buy from the store. It cost $40 just to have our cart with us. Sorry but that's the other negative pool and carts other than that wonderful!

Stayed here for 3 nights in my travel trailer. Did not come for the activities but there are more than enough for young or old. If I would come here again that would be the main reason. It would be more convenient if the activity center would be located in the middle of the facility. It was a very long walk or drive. There is not enough parking at the entertainment area. There are golf carts to rent and you will need one if you’re camping at the west end. Convenient access right off I10.

Jessie, at the front desk, was SUPER helpful. We had a large group event at Island Oaks today and she was so good about communicating with me leading up to the event, and very helpful today. Everyone in our group said she made the check in process so smooth and easy. We love Island Oaks, and look forward to many more fun days here this summer. The pool, mini golf and playground were big hits with our kids. Oh, and the ice cream of course.

Super friendly and helpful staff! Accommodating with your experience in mind! 3 adults and 3 12/13 year old boys. Love the cabins (tiny houses) and the way they are continuing to develop the property. They have a PLAN. Boys really enjoyed the amenities and the swimming lagoon. Lots of activities available. We will be back! Highly Recommend!

HORRIBLE!! THEY ARE NOT EVEN OPENED! ONCE YOU HEAD DOWN THEIR STREET YOU ARE DOOMED TO GET STUCK AS THERE IS NO WHERE  TO TURN AROUND. BEWARE!!

I can't wait for this place to open, I was raised in Glen St. Mary, FL still have family there. So it will be a nice place to go to, when winter hits in Michigan
