Conveniently located on Fort Morgan road with access to bike trails and shops and restaurants and of course the beach! Family friendly with the cleanest and nicest bath house I have seen with individual rooms for bath and shower. Swimming pool is very nice too. Rates are very reasonable. Staff is very courteous. They have get togethers for guests on holidays which are very nice.

Great spot. Very close to town. I did not hear another person’s music the entire time we were here and for that I would give 10 stars if I could. Some local on the adjacent property is, apparently, an amateur gas powered leaf blower enthusiast who ran one constantly for about 3.5 hours one day. Mercifully, he stopped at sundown. Still better than listening to other people’s music. There is a walking/ bike trail that goes to the state park. Pool area was clean. Plenty of chairs, tables, and umbrellas every time we went. Spaces are tight but not overly so. Great value for the money. Would stay here again.

Loved this campground and surroundings!! Bike trail is located right at the entrance. Go either way and you’ll experience numerous pines, magnolias, & honeysuckle We rode to Hugh Branyon Backcountry Trail and enjoyed the marshes and rugged bridges around Lake Shelby. So close to the beach. Beautiful place. We’ll be back

Great location at Gulf Shores for camping. This is a very well maintained campground with clean, modern updated bathhouses! There is a 8 foot wide asphalt trail that runs parallel with the main road that sits a safe 50 feet from the highway that was awesome for walking our dogs every morning. It’s stretches for miles both directions. The campground is nestled in the middle of desirable neighborhoods. This was our first trip to the area. We found it to be not full of all the hype that goes with beach areas. It’s extremely family oriented and safe. Orange Beach is a beautiful beach and shopping area.

My husband and I recently visited Island Retreat RVPark and had the best time. Each person went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Brad and Tyde were both amazing. We took our e-bikes and rode over 35 miles. Bike trails were accessible in either direction you wanted to go. From the public beach to Dollar General or to the Gulf State Park. We will visit this park again!!
