Island Retreat RV Park

Conveniently located on Fort Morgan road with access to bike trails and shops and restaurants and of course the beach! Family friendly with the cleanest and nicest bath house I have seen with individual rooms for bath and shower. Swimming pool is very nice too. Rates are very reasonable. Staff is very courteous. They have get togethers for guests on holidays which are very nice.

Great spot. Very close to town. I did not hear another person’s music the entire time we were here and for that I would give 10 stars if I could. Some local on the adjacent property is, apparently, an amateur gas powered leaf blower enthusiast who ran one constantly for about 3.5 hours one day. Mercifully, he stopped at sundown. Still better than listening to other people’s music. There is a walking/ bike trail that goes to the state park. Pool area was clean. Plenty of chairs, tables, and umbrellas every time we went. Spaces are tight but not overly so. Great value for the money. Would stay here again.

Loved this campground and surroundings!! Bike trail is located right at the entrance. Go either way and you’ll experience numerous pines, magnolias, & honeysuckle We rode to Hugh Branyon Backcountry Trail and enjoyed the marshes and rugged bridges around Lake Shelby. So close to the beach. Beautiful place. We’ll be back

Great location at Gulf Shores for camping. This is a very well maintained campground with clean, modern updated bathhouses! There is a 8 foot wide asphalt trail that runs parallel with the main road that sits a safe 50 feet from the highway that was awesome for walking our dogs every morning. It’s stretches for miles both directions. The campground is nestled in the middle of desirable neighborhoods. This was our first trip to the area. We found it to be not full of all the hype that goes with beach areas. It’s extremely family oriented and safe. Orange Beach is a beautiful beach and shopping area.

My husband and I recently visited Island Retreat RVPark and had the best time. Each person went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Brad and Tyde were both amazing. We took our e-bikes and rode over 35 miles. Bike trails were accessible in either direction you wanted to go. From the public beach to Dollar General or to the Gulf State Park. We will visit this park again!!

This was our first time staying at Island Retreat. (We stayed in Foley last winter. )The folks there are terrific! From the office staff to the maintenance guys. The park is impeccable. Our WiFi was a little spotty, being on an outside row,but we managed. The WiFi setup is new and may still need a little tweaking. We liked the park so well that we’re already booked for next winter! I’m sure there are other nice parks in Gulf Shores, but this is where you’re going to find us when in the area!

This was our first time staying at Island Retreat and it was very nice. The sites are level concrete with full hookups. This park is very conveniently located to just about anything you could need or want , yet is a quiet friendly park. (We visited in January) Lots of activities available if you like that. The staff was always friendly. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

We love Gulf Shores and now we have a great place to land when we make plans to visit. Island Retreat was one of the best RV parks we stayed at in our adventures this year and plan to return next year. The park was clean and the staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful. We had a great month and hated to leave. They prepared a pre Thanksgiving luncheon that was absolutely delicious and we met some of the nicest people. It was so delightful. The park is close to the beach, shopping, dining and all kinds of activities. We will be back for sure.❤️

This campground has become our favorite spot to stay when visiting Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Convenient location. Reasonably priced. Nice sites with green space. Best of both worlds. You are near the beach and have an onsite pool that is maintained well.

Island retreat is a really good place for us. Stayed there twice and have a reservation fall of '26....Older type park. We like that. Staff is great, good rates, nice pool, updated bathrooms with laundry facilities, mature trees.... Wifi can be sketchy and ice machine charges $7 for a 14 lb bag. Ouch....

Excellent location, we stood here for the weekend of the shrimp fest. The park is very quiet, very clean, the camp sites have plenty of space, most of them have shade, the pool area is nice, bathrooms are clean. Down the street from Walmart, supermarkets, dollar store, restaurants, and ice cream places. The bike trail runs right in front of the property, and we will definitely visit again. Thank you Island Retreat RV park for having us.

While on vacation and staying at the Island Resort RV part my husband had a medical emergency which in the day we were supposed to check out. I spoke with the office and they were able to extend are start one more night in that spot. However, my husband ended hospitalized and I was unable to move the RV. The park was booked up but they found me another spot and were extremely helpful and sympathetic. The park is very nice with nice amenities.

We stayed for a single night passing through Gulf Shores. Island Retreat was perfect for us! Check in was a breeze, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Facilities were immaculate and well appointed. Campground was quiet, even with a lot placement by the pool. Other campers were also very friendly. Location was close to everything.
