Beautiful lake campground with no electricity or water hookup. If you bring a boat. only trolling motor allowed. No motor boats of any kind. You have a long ride down a dirt road to get here. Durable even with a travel trailer.

This place is packed with people, ATVs, and cars. Feels like you’re still in the city with trees and a lake around. Bunch of noise during the day from all the cars, ATVs and golf carts. If you have the campsite by the bathroom, you’ll always have an audience. The campsites are very close together. The campsite and bathrooms are clean and they have TP in there so that’s the only good thing I noticed. There’s also no shade near the lake so if you go fishing, its hot and you’re bald and forget your hat, you’ll get your head sunburned. Or if you do have hair, you’ll be sweating your butt off while trying to catch something, which most likely will be seaweed because the fish there like to jump up and tease but won’t bite the worm on your fishing hook; my 11 yr old concluded this about the fish.

The dirt road in is smooth, but your rig will get dusty. The camp hosts are friendly and not mean and crusty like other campgrounds. The campsites are large and very well kept. Super clean. Even the bathrooms are clean and with air freshener too. There's a path around the lake for walking or biking. There's a food truck here, but they are closed on Wednesdays. They sell sell ice too. The scenery here is stunning. We'll try our luck at dishing over the next few days. We were here from Sun - Thu and not many campers, so it was pretty quiet. Just remember there are NO hookups here so bring water and a quiet generator.

I found this place after finding out that my initial choice was fully booked for reservations. Glad I did! FYI: You'd be driving a 10-mile road of dirt & gravel from Perkinsville Rd. First time camping here and I must say, we were happy to have picked this place. We stayed for 3 nights during the week. It was the perfect peace and quiet place that I needed being from Vegas. There were only a handful of campers in our loop for the first couple days. The view of the lake from our site was amazing. The camp was clean and sites were spaced out well enough in some areas. The site I got was too close to my liking though but got lucky the next site to me was vacant the entire time. Lucky for us, the weather was in the high 70s early June and there was breeze. The nights got to the mid 50s. There are all sorts of bugs at night. The bathroom was cleaned daily. It's a pit toilet so don't forget to close the lid after using. And yes, there was toilet paper! There is a spigot for drinking water only. The Black Bear Shack on site was like a one-stop shop; they not only sell food, refreshments, rent canoes/kayak, they also sell basic necessities for camping. They are open 9am - 5pm and close on Wednesdays. We got to meet the camp hosts and they were nice and friendly. The walk around the lake was a good hike for sure. We definitely would be coming back again and try fishing.

Stayed at the camp grounds for two nights. Most of it is reserve online. They do have a few first come first serve spots. If you don’t reserve bring cash. I stayed in the A section. The camp site has one or two tables( two is more money) it has a grill and fire pit. They have a nice rock area for you to set up your tents in each one. They give you a good amount of space for an RV. They do have drinking water and they also have trash bins on site. The bathroom are okay better then most. There are a few bathroom is each section. The lake is an okay size they do have a large mouth bass but most of the lake is grassy. You will get a hook caught. They have a Snack shake that had ice and other things. The road there is long and all dirt, it’s about a 30 minute drive from the main road. You will see a few ranches and free roaming cows.

The campgrounds are very nice . The lake is beautiful but the fishing was not good. The 18 mile road is terrible if you're pulling a trailer. You can only go 5-10 miles an hour. There's suppose to be a dump station but its been broken for the past 4 years. We will not go back.

We love this campground! The sites are pretty close together so you need to be okay with seeing and saying 'hi' to your neighbors. If you want a more secluded or quiet trip, plan on camping during the week. On Sunday, the campground clears out. It's great that there are rentals available for the lake, and a snack shack there too in case you run out of supplies or don't feel like making lunch. We book a lake view so we can watch all the people having fun boating, paddling, and fishing. The campground is big enough to get a good bike ride or walk in, and our dog loves the hike around the lake.
