24hr reservation rule is absolute trash and pointless as you have to book online anyways. Make it make sense. Place is empty. Maybe put a notice on the recreation APP for the 24 hr rule. Incompetence at it's finest. Anyways, if you're heading west and need a spot for the night, head to TACHI palace and resort casino. They welcome RVs and the place is amazing.

Water was out, restrooms and showers are often an issue so go with that in mind. I really wish they wouldn’t require a 1 day in advance reservation. Would make it nicer for locals to book same day.

So many beautiful views even at nighttime, you could see so many stars in the sky. It’s off the highway so don’t expect it to be quiet.

Such a pretty campground. Lots of wildlife, we pulled in late to hear the frogs croaking at night. My son loved the lake. Great location if you are visiting Sequoia National park.

Great place to camp! Showers were meh… and I wish they took walk in reservations so I could’ve extended my stay. Lake was beautiful. Only could figure out how to turn on one of the water spouts, but I’m sure the park ranger would help.

We had such a great time!! Working toilets and showers. They keep the grounds really nice and clean. Sites are not very level. I wish they would upgrade and offer full hook ups. Some sites have water sprouts and some do not. There's dumpsters placed in various spots and extra porter potties too. The amphitheater needs new benches and some love but there is a trail you can walk up above the amphitheater. Very easy trail/hike. Its a beautiful campground just needs some upgrades but for the price it's very well worth it. We'll definitely be back!

$20 a night great value, make sure you reserve online as walk ins are no longer allowed. No host at time of our stay but the rangers frequently stroll through willing to help out with any questions. Make sure to check out the Ga-We-Ha Historic Trail it’s starts near site #7 😉

My husband and I have been to this campground so many times with and without the rest of our family and it's usually always awesome. A+ Campground. Very nice view and accessible lake. Horse creek is dog and family friendly. The time before this last time we went, there was no one else camping here. So when we decided to try and move over one campsite for better shade from the sun, the young ranger who came to check on us said it would be fine as long as we were only staying one night. We stayed one night this time as well, but when we arrived to our campsite we realized it had a pretty severe slant. Anyone who tent camps know that sucks. So we tried to switch again, but this time I call to make sure it would be okay. There were only two other people camping. And no other reserved signs posted. The man I spoke with first was very nice and respectful. The lady he transferred me to wasn't as nice or respectful. It's only $20, but it's my hard earned money that I paid. I also understand that it is their policy to not allow switching campsites because "they would have to let everyone do it". When I voiced my concerns about my tent being on a slant she said in a very rude tone "I've seen millions of tents on that campsite" if it wasn't too late I would have asked for a refund. Other than that our stay was as always wonderful.
