Beautiful campground sitting right in the canyon by the Roaring River. Very close to trails in the Cedar Grove area. Flushable toilets, but no lights. Bears are frequent in the area, so please do store food appropriately in the bear box.

We had campsite 9 and 11 which are next to each other. Since there were no group spots available we got 2 sites instead, which worked out. The campground is peaceful, close to waterfalls, hikes and showers. The only con was the site didn't get a alot of shade but the canopy fixed that. Restrooms were cleaned every morning but there are no lights. I highly recommend staying at Moraine.

This was my first time in Sequoia National Park and it is just BEAUTIFUL. The wildlife is fantastic and, even during peak mosquito and biting fly season, is worth the drive if you live within 1-2 hours. I loved the drive as well; super easy and the roadside view on the way up is probably one of the best experiences you'll have. So, that was the area, but as for the campground where we stayed, I have a few things to say so that you can prepare yourself. 1. We went right before the summer and 4th of July crowds came so all of the spots on campgrounds were pretty vacant. Most are not shaded and you definitely want that shade as the sun will get to you. 2. Make sure you get a spot that is near a spigot because they are far and few between. The bathrooms having sinks outside, though. 3. Speaking of the bathrooms, my GOD were they awful. Dirty, disgusting people cannot clean up after themselves and the toilets barely worked. One of the facilities was closed limiting your access and keep in mind that these are flushing not pit toilets which makes them susceptible to clogging which they did. I suggest bringing your own portable toilet. 4. We had a bear encounter and it did some damage to our vehicle. The area is not known for having aggressive bears, BUT the ranger we filed a report with said there are one or two that are more pushy and nosy with what they will do to get food so, DO NOT KEEP ANY TYPE OF FOOD IN YOUR CAR even if it is sealed and even if the sign into the camp says it is ok which it does. Lock up your food in the bear box; all of it. 5. Most of the trails are steep and long so, do not wear crappy shoes, bring plenty of water and dress accordingly. All that being said, we had a good time and will re-visit!

This place was nearly PERFECT! We stayed at site 10 and the frequent cool breeze was amazing and the SOUND of the river echoed beautifully through the trees and against the mountains. My only complaint was that the toilets for BOTH women's and men's were a little bit tricky and had to flush a few times, every time. We DID have a bear break into the car overnight, so just be aware to put ALL your food into the bear box. We had forgotten a backpack in the car from our hiking trip earlier in the day with granola bars and apples. Oddly enough, the bear left the apples and ate ALL of the granola bars; even the VEGAN bars! My boyfriend thought THAT was hilarious 🤣. We also had to leave a day early as well to deal with the damage, but honestly, we weren't mad in the least. We are VERY aware that this place is in bear country and we are in THEIR home. Just need to be smarter next time lol. A ranger (Emma) happened to be driving by in the early morning and took our statements and was INCREDIBLY surprised when we told her what happened as this is NOT normal behavior. She was incredibly apologetic and we told her not to worry about it. They gave me the information to contact dispatch and they emailed me straight away and even REFUNDED me for my last day on the SAME day which is TOTALLY UNHEARD of nowadays. I am grateful and we WILL be going back. There are just SO MANY TRAILS and things to SEE! We were COMPLETELY enamored with the stunning views and sounds🥰

Restroom was bad the whole time we were there, from clogging, broken toilet to no running water. Otherwise a beautiful place.

Absolutely beautiful and amazing. It’s a great place if you wanna get away from the city … there is no service which for me personally was amazing because I could fully disconnect and unwind. It is super close to the river and also close to so many hiking trails. It’s peaceful, quiet, and full of nature. Definitely will be returning soon. 10/10

Loved camping here :) beautiful scenery and clean bathrooms. No fires allowed but it was still fun to hang at the campsite. Site #1 was right next to the road but it was still beautiful and covered by trees in the heat of the day. Loved it!

My first ever camping experience and that too this beautiful campground. It is located near Kings Canyon. Make sure to have offline maps downloaded as there is no network for any carrier. Its very clean with good amenities. There is not a lot of food options in the area. The drive is just marvelous and you have the view of south Fork kings river. Easily accessible from campground as well.

Beautiful clean place, facilities are well maintained. Park rangers were going around the camp often. just make sure to bring your own soap. Although there are notes everywhere not to make wood fires some people wouldn't pay attention which is disappointing but that is on us who are visiting the sites to take care of it. As far as the campground itself it's nice by the river and clean.

Oh wow where do I begin!!!! To say the least I found what I was looking for!!! This is the real deal in camping... Serenity in the meaning of no outside sounds whatsoever!! Clean campgrounds. Accessible to all walking paths.. the cutest lodge, 4 Non campers... I've always camped Yosemite National Park!! Since Camp was closed in Yosemite.. we headed to Three Rivers National Park. And the national sequoias.. I'm glad I did not die, before I got to see this great beauty of ours... I am definitely returning to this place of nature...

Ok place. Sites are decent size. Restroom a little small for size of campground and may get crowded at peak season. River can be heard while sleeping, but so can road. Was there 10/5/19 and only 1 section open. Only about 30 or 40 sites occupied so plenty of open sites. Bear boxes, tables, and fire rings in site.
