Really a hidden gem of Louisiana, no one knows this place. Nice and clean at the lake. Watch your speed on the way there, they get tricky on the speed limits and plot on the out of towners. The lake is easy for any age with the ramps and easy for wheel chair accessibility in a sense, coming back up is the hard part.

The park was clean, the beach area was clean, the restrooms were clean. Definitely recommend!

Its very nice. We prefer to go on Sundays so its not so busy or even on a day where it rains lightly or on and off where there are fewer people. Its 5.00 for the day. Pretty clean. There's light vegetation in the swimming area that gets worse the deeper it gets. Loved to go here for fun in the sun. ❤️

We tried to bike the Kincaid Lake trail, but we couldn't make the loop since the trail is not maintained all the way. Lots of fallen trees, branches and parts were not mowed at all. Given the snaky ( at least one cotton mouth) area, we were not comfortable trying to find the trail. It would have been great if signs would have warned us.

The little beach was the perfect spot to relax and cool off in the water. The facilities are well maintained and I’m definitely looking forward to our next trip here.

After a long closure while I cleaned up after Hurricane laura, the boat launch and the beach are open as are the restrooms with outdoor showers. This Lake was not crowded, there was no litter, there are covered picnic areas near the beach on Rolling Hills with large trees. Parking was easy but again that may be because there was no crowd. We kayak and had a wonderful day. I would check before I tried to Camp there because several other primitive campgrounds are still closed.

I love the way to keep the fishing area clean the bathrooms are clean and well kept. Today was a wonderful day at the lake we caught probably 35 catfish. We plan to have a large fish fry soon. So thanks to Kincaid lake and the people that manage it.

Kincaid has far more than primitive campsites. 40 or so full hookups at this NFS Campground. Lake , picnic area, fishing piers, beach area, and a playground round out this lovely campground, not to mention several hiking trails around the lake and connecting trails to the Kitsatchie National Forest ‘Wild Azalea Trail’ We spent a wonderful, quiet weekend get away there in late February of 2020.

Best place to swim in cenla. However , while most DO their best to keep the area and lake clean , there are the "rotten apples" that really just don't care. It's not difficult to take out what you bring in , or simply use the provided trash receptacles. It is also a place people like myself like to bring our children and it's a toss up if you will encounter those that think vulgar language and cursing is acceptable vocabulary to use within ear shot of kids. I cannot speak on trails or boating personally as my kids just want to swim and build sand castles , but I have seen numerous and various wildlife everytime we have gone to Kincaid. The large pavillion is great and very reasonably priced , and there are plenty of small free covered tables with grills that are free to use (after the admission fee) Use common courtesy, FLUSH THE TOILETS , leave your potty mouths at home , and Kincaid Lake & recreation area is a spectacular escape into nature!
