We spent a wonderful night there passing through to the Oregon coast. We shall return for a much longer stay to fish, float, pan, and explore the whole area. So peaceful!!!

The Lazy Horse is a beautiful park. It has nice size level concrete pads, picnic tables and full hook ups. The restrooms and shower facilities were immaculate. Ron, the camp host was so welcoming and is always busy tending to the restrooms, grounds and picking up after the horses. The horses! Wow what a special treat to see these beautiful creatures roaming the grounds and coming and going from the nearby hills. Make sure to stop by the self-serve store to make a donation/purchase -for a beautiful Wild Horse Fire Brigade calendar and learn about their history. Truly a 5 star experience 🐴

We had such a nice stay at Lazy Horse RV park! We stayed at site #1, which was a level, back-in site with unobstructed views of the river. We were greeted by wild horses, who were surprisingly curious and interested in us! Clean, well maintained park with large sites, friendly people and horses, it felt remote and secluded but still only 6 miles from I-5. Will definitely return!

I was looking for a clean quiet RV park close to the CA/OR border and this park was perfect. I submitted an inquiry online and received a call a few hours later answering my questions. The sites all have large concrete pads and a picnic table. We stayed in site 7 so we got to sleep every night hearing the relaxing sounds of the river rapids. The park water pressure is good and the power is stable, the WiFi service is better the closer you are to the signal repeaters(site 7 is ok). The horses are a fixture and they seem to be on the same schedule coming down from the hillside pasture in the morning and then heading back up for the evening. The horses did not seem to mind any of the camper's dogs but all pets in my view were well behaved. The staff constantly makes the rounds and picks up after the horses to keep the grounds clean. I did peak into the bathroom and it looked clean and well kept. I dropped my son a few miles up river at the Iron Gate Bush Creek boat launch and he had a nice 90 minute float down to the Ager Rd bridge. Speaking to some of the locals it is possible to go farther up river and get a substantially longer river float. We are so happy that we found Lazy Horse RV Park and plan to visit again.

We stopped here to break up our trip to Oregon. The road getting there was a nighmare in the trailer (pot hole city!), but we'd do it again to stay here. The campground is very clean and peaceful right on the river. Besides the relaxing river, the highlight was tons of wild horses that roam through the property. All day long when we were there. How cool is that? The owner is very friendly and everyone we met that was camping was very friendly too. Good Vibes should be the name of the park. See you next year on our way back to Oregon!

This RV Resort is fantastic and ensures a very unique and incredible experience that you will not forget! The location is along the Klamath River and very serene. The RV Sites are spaced nicely for our 45’ Motorcoach and Jeep with ample grass for your pups to enjoy. The concrete pads and patio area is very large, level and you park facing the river which is wonderful. Large trees between the Sites offer shade throughout the day. Now for the best part, there are wild horses that come into the Resort in the morning and scatter themselves throughout the park and stay until after sunset. We are horse lovers and embraced each of the 4 days we were there. The story of how these horses (dubbed “Fire Horses”) help hold back the wild fires in the area by eating the dry grasses on the hillsides causing a natural barrier to limit the “fuel” that the fires would use to spread is truly amazing. The Resort is located about 6-7 miles from exiting US-5 on Copco Road. The first 3 miles are in good condition, but the last 3 are not in the best shape as heavy trucks that are doing a massive Klamath River Renewal Project where they are removing 4 dams beyond where the Resort is. Do Not let the road deter you from staying at this wonderful resort. Take it slow and you will be fine. Road repairs will happen after the Work has been completed. We would definitely stay again. Jason and staff were great and they keep the Resort spotless picking up after the horses all day.

This place is down right amazing. We stayed for almost a week and did not want to leave. The river was beautiful, the staff was awesome and super friendly and the horses were awesome. Our daughters LOVED watching the horses. It was so peaceful. Would advise late August had a TON of yellow jackets that were a bit of a nuisance but such a minor inconvenience to the otherwise amazing experience. Thank you Blue Heron! We will be back!

This is one of the quietest campgrounds of all time! Ron and Jason not only take good care of it, but it appears they also take pride in it. The bathrooms looked more like they belonged in a hotel. They were that nice and clean! Each campsite has a large level concrete pad to fit just about any size RV. This campground is seven miles off interstate five, and the last three and a half miles of it has very poor roads with huge potholes, so take it very slow! It needs a ton of work. But give this spot a try. If you're lucky, you just might see some wild horses grazing along the river.

If your ever out traveling around Hornbrook you need to visit and camp at the Blue Heron RV Resort. It's located by Klamath Ranch/Klamath River at 7630 Copco Rd, Hornbrook, CA 96044. All the camp spots are good with an running river outside your door. T'here is an winding road to get to the campsite, but don't let that scare you it's okay and not scary. Once you get there it's all worth it.....The camp host is great, they make sure your all hooked up and they will even setup your WIfi for you. Their hospitality is outstanding....

I stayed at Blue Heron RV Park for 5 days, as I was making my way back to California from the Crater Lake area. There were so many great things about this park. The individual sites were level, with cement pads that were roomy with a good amount of space between sites. All sites had full hookups, and a picnic table. The grounds were very clean, as were the restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The hosts were what made it great - they were very eager to answer any questions and requests that you may have. The seasonal decorations were a nice touch, and they had additional treats, (ice cream, snacks, and some basic staples) for sale. The Klamath River runs adjacent to the park, and there is a wide grassy area on shore where you can sit in the Adirondack chairs provided and chill out to the sights and sounds of the river - very relaxing. There are several herds of horses that visit the park,. They meander through munching on the grass at the sites and down by the river. They are beautiful to watch. This is an RV park I intend to visit again in the future.
