Beautiful views from the hills, trails to walk, playground, overnight camping, outhouses. There’s a unique selection of flora around the area which is fun to see.

Nice small campground beside the Provincial Park and historical site/museum. The bathroom was very clean when we were there. The fact that you have to pay for firewood whether you have a fire or not seems a bit of a cash grab?

Okay, so Google doesn't apparently distinguish between "hotel" and "campground" so my ratings are for the campground. Beautiful and quiet spot within a short drive of Grande Prairie. Nice campground with decent privacy, nice playground, outhouses and a shower building, and lots to see. There's no power or hookups, but no big deal for me. Lots of trails to walk and hills to climb, and it's a high point in the area. I included a photo of our site, as there are lots of photos of the location already available. Keep in mind that the campground and museum area are run by the County of Grande Prairie, while the surrounding park area is run by Alberta Parks, so there are two websites to check. My only wish would be to have Alberta Parks put in a bit more structure, like more designated trails as right now it's a bit of a free-for-all which has to be hard on the environment we're trying to protect.

I love the varying difficulty level of hikes you can choose here. The playground and washrooms (outhouses in the offseason), picnic tables, and day use for pits make it a stellar place to spend the day with the family or meet up with friends to eat, hike, and play. If and don't forget the awesome historical village that you can walk around and enjoy. Lots to do for everyone from young to old!

A beautiful place to go camping with the kids!!!! I loved that you have the playground for the kids in front of each Spot, so they get up in the morning and go play and you don't worry about how far away because you can see them from your camping space. You can go hiking, explore the museum !!!!! Excellent customer service. We went in the middle of October so we couldn't shower hahaha the showers were already closed for the season and the museum too. But was a very beautiful experience ☺️

My family stayed here on a June weekend of 2021.Campground was almost full to capacity. We met Sarah and Cam who were helpful and very friendly and very kind. Location is near the city, some views and scenery can be compared to Drumheller Alberta. You couldn't ask for a nicer location plus there is a beautiful scenery for hiking and there is a cell service. We definitely will return.

Nice campground near Bezanson, east of Grande Prairie. It has the northern most badlands in Alberta with plenty of climbing, exploring, history, day use area and a playground for the kids. Crazy fact, they have wild onions and cactus here too. I'm still trying to find out if these are the most northern wild onion and cactus. The facts are scarce, so much so that Kleskun Hill either translates to White Mud Hill or Fat Cache Hill in the Beaver first nation language. To top all of this off, a running water toilet and shower for the city folk. Pro Bonus; The whole area is surrounded by an electric fence so those kids won't get far. Start a fire, sit back and pour a cold one. Life is good.
