The staff was very friendly upon arrival. Leaving the three stars because we've been coming here for many years and usually the ground are kept nicely. This year it was very run down and alot of things were broken. The advertised arcade had one working game the rest were broken including the pool table. The lodge was dirty and we had to clean the table before even using it. They no longer have shower houses in every area. They only have them in the locker rooms which is a push button 15 second shower and after pushing the button twice the water is cold. They used to have a working hot tub but is now empty and roped off with wires hanging out of the wall (very unsafe). The multiple "playgrounds" are very sad the were also broken and mostly unusable because there were nails sticking out three inches long. Although we've never experienced these issues before this year if you are planning to go specifically for the amenities I dont recommend.

My family used to camp here for the summer each year many years ago when it was called Royal Oaks Campground. It was so much fun and we met lots of good people who also had summer camping spots. Many became good friends. A few years ago I was traveling in the area and decided to stop by for nostalgic reasons since I had such great memories camping there. I am sorry I did. The place seemed to have become a run down trailer park with permenant residents. The visit was very disappointing.

Camping there is my favorite summer and fall time retreat.... They have swimming fun, volleyball 🏐 nets to play with our daughter...keeping up her school practice! The staff are so sweet and helpful, we love going on the mornings to the river roasters cafe down the street and overlooking the water and the West Virginia bridge that has always been a childhood memory for me. Great great great retreat. Love it and look forward to going every year and we even got t shirts and hoodies from the Campground gift shop we all love 💕 Thank you Kountry Campgrounds for being our go to place for camping for the four or five years in a row now! Highly recommend. Such a great family oriented place to bring everyone you know and 💕 love.

Was a seasonal camper for years but no more. This year we were advised that everyone’s contract was being voided. I’m sorry I left out that we had to buy a membership there years ago just to be able to use the campground and other amenities. Okay now like I said our contract was voided and he told us that they would be doubling the price and there was nothing we could do take it or leave it so we left, now they want us to pay a exit fee to get out of our membership! This place has steadily lost amenities and is not worth the price anymore.

My husband and daughter and our friends stayed the night a few weeks ago. We had a wonderful time and a good night love the walking trail and had fun fishing. Just loved everything about this place. Can't wait for summer so we can camp again
