Just finished a week long stay at this campground. We will definitely be back! The grounds and facilities were well kept and in fantastic condition. The sites are spacious and well organized. The layout of the park is very convenient and easy to get around. The owners were so nice and extremely accommodating. It's located in a great spot, central to all sorts of fun UP things. The Wi-Fi was helpful to keep us in contact with family and friends in an otherwise spotty service area.

Stayed for 1 night LAST MINUTE over a holiday weekend. Great stay! Grounds were well kept, shower house was clean (I would have showered in it but we had a full hook up site so no need!) Camp store was well stocked and the staff was super friendly. Great proximity to the falls. Will definitely stay again next time we are in the area!

There are some things I like and some I do not. Starting with the do-nots so this can end on a positive note. I think the 5mph limit is really slow and 10 would be better. The camp sites are all tight up together and small compared to the campgrounds we are used to. You can't bring your own wood. Men's room could have been cleaner but they do clean it daily, girls was better. Had to press a button on the shower to get lukewarm water and press it again every minute which I didn't care for. The sinks were the same but shorter times - it saves a lot on water but they need to stay on longer. I like that the nights were quiet. Most people were friendly. The staff was concerned that our stay might not be as enjoyable as we expected - I give them a point for that. They have a laundry that looks nice but I didn't go inside it. Pretty decent playground for kids. No lake or ponds though. We only got electric @ 40 bucks a night but some sites offer full hookup.

Just finished a two week UP trip, staying in 4 different campgrounds. Kritters hands down was our favorite. Well kept grounds, clean fire pits, bath house and laundry areas. The new office and store is so nice. Lots of cute or useful items. Owners nice as they could be. You can tell they take pride in their campground. Will definitely return. On a side note we left our water pressure gauge on the spigot. The owners contacted us and sent it to our home! Great customer service.

This is our second time at Kritters and this experience was even better than the first! The sites are huge, every site has a clear view of the playground to keep an eye on the kids, the trails were beautiful to ride our bikes, especially the gnome village in the woods, the new campstore is amazing with great merchandise, and the bathrooms were always clean. The owners were absolutely fantastic!!! They were so friendly and fun to talk to that my husband had to come find me a couple times. We had an issue on our site that was our fault and Brice immediately came to our site to help! My daughter will be wearing her Kritters Campground shirt proudly! We can’t wait to visit this hidden gem again!

I'm starting out with 5 stars and haven't even seen the campground. Their customer service in helping me set up a family trip looking for sites together was fantastic. Brice was very helpful, then 2 days later had to make adjustments, was done ad updated in minutes. Can't wait to get to our sites for the 4th of July week.

We had an incredible stay this past weekend (11/8-11/10). Our cabin was very spacious, clean and cozy! Vicki and Brice are the nicest people you will ever meet. I would recommend staying at Kritters 100 times over.

What a very nice oasis just a few miles away from town and centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Full grown trees everywhere, very clean and well kept amenities, and Brice and Vickie couldn’t have been more helpful or nicer. Did an outstanding job of making everyone feel like part of a large family. Sites were nicely spaced so you didn’t feel like you were cramped. Next time we’re in the U P, definitely going back to Kritters.

This was a very nice campground. It is well located for many great attractions, so we actually weren’t there very much. When we were, it was very quiet. The sites and grounds were neat and well kept up. We didn’t use the bathrooms, but the laundry was neat and clean as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this campground!

For 5 years now this has been one of our favorite campgrounds. The new owners have made so many beautiful changes and only made a great place better! The bathrooms are always clean (and decorated so cute!), the sites are level and the entire place is so well taken care of. We had an issue with our camper and they were able to get us in touch with someone to assist us (and on a Sunday!) to say the new owners are welcoming and helpful would be an understatement. For those traveling it is central enough to visit all kinds of attractions with just around an hour or less of a drive!

My two kids (12 & 7 at the time) tent camped here last July. Shame on me for waiting so long to leave a review 🤦🏻♂️ We did a 9 day tour of the U.P. at 5 campgrounds for that trip. So we only stayed 2 nights. First of all, the owners.... Just freaking awesome people. Watching them both work their tails off all day shows the love they have for this place. The woman checked us in and had us cracking up right away. As we were setting up our tent He came over to introduce himself. I love that kind of thing personally. Great location and very clean and grassy spots. Firewood was delivered if asked kindly along with ice. My favorite part is my son admired him. Kept referring to him as his buddy at the office lol. Our neighbors had a cool 1947 greyhound converted and played a movie our last night. 11pm came around and she came over to be sure it was ok it was still on. Again, loved that. We were ofcourse watching and asked to keep it on and she allowed it as it seemed others around us were into it also Bathrooms are small and the men's urinal gets a bit personal BUT super clean and to me that's what matters. Playground is basic but there is a kickbutt nature trail and again so much around to do. We are doing another trip this summer but 4 nights in two spots. I went to my kids to ask if they wanted a new place or here, without hesitation they chose here. I was stoked bc that was my choice also. We are booked and excited to return July 2022!

Great place to stay! Bathrooms and shower house were very clean and well maintained. Firewood and Ice on-site without paying more than in town. The owners are friendly and great to work with, we asked for two sites with hook-ups facing each other to camp with the kids and they happily accommodated us. Highly recommend and will be staying here next on a return trip to the UP.

Spent a week at Kritter's Northcountry Campground. The sites were large and well maintained. The shower house was clean!! The owner's were super friendly and helpful. They have ice and firewood available for purchase right on the grounds. If you are looking for a great place to stay located not far from the local attractions look no more, this is where you want to be!!

I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled to after a visit here. I appreciate a hard worker and the couple who own the campground are just that. Not only do they work their tails off but they do so with a smile. They are super friendly and work day and night to make your stay enjoyable. The campground (including bathrooms which was most important to me) was super clean and the other campers were friendly. We spent two days here after staying at a more modernized campground and enjoyed Kritter's 100x more. I would recommend them to anyone and hopefully be able to visit them again in the future!
