We like to camp at beach 7. The showers and flush toilets are near by. As well as a water spigot. There are some shade trees too. Beach 5 is also nice but only has vault toilets. You still have to goto beach 7 for showers and water. There is a dump station near the Ranger's station/ entry.

Wonderful to explore and off road. Very fun recreation on the water. Stars look stunning at night!

Lahontan State recreation area is in the Silver Springs are not far from Churchill State Park. There is camping here under the Cottonwoods close to the shore. Also two day use areas with restrooms, picnic tables, and grills. Two boat launches are available. Not a lot of hiking trails, the Tufa trail is the only one I have seen. Along with the Tufa trailhead, there is a new historical marker about Williams Station off of Fisherman's Point. Fishing is mainly warm water fish; bass, Walleye, Wiper, Carp, and Catfish. A nice park and not crowded which is a big plus!

Very affordable camping option for cyclists like me ($2). No specific tent site , you basically find your own spot. Great view, serene and quiet, at least during shoulder season. Very limited service, you can tell State Parks are not a priority in this state.

Great place to take the family for camping or fishing. One of the few places you can camp right on the beach. The one down side is there’s not much shade or trees on most of the lake. Bring a canopy. It can get windy as well. Secure it good.

The reservation system for the parks is not fully up and functioning as right now most of the campsites are flooded. However the area is very nice and well kept. There is a lot to see and the history of the area is well worth the visit.

This is the first time I have seen it full, it is stunning. During drought it was almost empty and mostly deep sand. Has wooded shores and dry camping around most of it. A couple of formal campgrounds with level pads, tables and nice grills, but no hookups. Most sites are shaded. Have nice flush toilets and central water spigots. Going to bring my trailer out in next few weeks. Not crowded during week, would not go on weekends or holidays due to boat noise. Great if you own a boat or jet ski. Lots of fisherman around lake too.
