I hate to let the secret out of the bag, but this place is amazing. Quiet, peaceful, inexpensive and beautiful. Wish I had caught a fish.

We camped here four nights November 2024 $25/night water/elec. Half off over 62. Nice park well maintained but a small park, nothing to do except lake activities, no trails. Site 1 through 21 are along the lake shore, level with a lot of shade probably the most popular but they are pretty close together. They have a blinding flood light mounted at site 1 that floods all the sites along the lake shore and after dark you will need to be behind your camper or a tree to keep from stumbling around. Good T-Mobile signal with 5g.

This is such a great state park!! Beautiful grounds, big sites, super nice staff, the lake right at your fingertips. Teri, Brett & Elaine are all wonderful. Camphosts are friendly too. 😉 It's a little slice of paradise. Perfect spot for sunset every night on the docks. There's a grocery store, dollar general & a couple restaurants less than 10 minutes away. Propane exchanges but no refills nearby. Wish we could have stayed longer. Favorite LA state park yet!

If this place had sewage hook up I would camp here more often. Great facility and concrete spots. However some locations will not get good phone services. Bathroom is okay. I recommend.

This campground could be 5 stars or 1, depending on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a place where your kids can run free range, this is a good place. Site curbside is close to the road and close together. But behind some sites it has nice open space in the upper loop. Lake side sites are on top of each other. Lots of children, lots of dogs. If you are looking for peace, quiet and night skies, give this campground a pass. If you love neighbors lights all night and children knocking on your door to ask for things and a community experience, this is your place!

The little park was amazing. We had a spot on the water next to a wharf and cypress trees in our backyard. The park is set up so walking is easy. Great playgrounds if you have children. There are clean showers should you need to utilize them. It is the prettiest park we have stayed in and will be back! Fishing was great.

This hidden gem is by far the nicest state park I have stayed in. The freshwater lake is magnificent with it's abundant Cypress trees. The grounds are very well maintained as well as the bathrooms/showers. The RV sites are nice, especially the ones right on the lake. This was originally built as a fish hatchery. Fishing piers, boat rentals and even a well equipped fish cleaning station is available. They also have cabins for rent. I highly recommend this park and a great place for kids offering a splash pad and playground. The staff is very friendly.
