Prices are way to high for the quality, location and amenities. This is a $35 per night Campground. The rules are very rigorous and probably enforced due to the large percentage of full time residents. Lots of dinge. I have a 50a trailer and always use 30a if given a choice but was forced to pay more for a 50a because of some nonsense excuse. (I'm a EE so excuse didnt make any sense). Would not recommend this campground!

Quiet, but overpriced for limited maintenance and frequent utility issues. I’ve been here for nearly two years. While it’s generally quiet, there have been no updates or improvements despite two rent increases during my stay. The road coming in still has bumps that were only painted over when a few sites were repaved. There’s no dog park, and leash rules are only enforced at the front, even though loose cats roam in the back. Power issues happened to my site more often than they should, and maintenance is only available for a few hours on weekdays, so problems that happen after hours or on weekends often wait days to be addressed. The water pressure problem I experienced recently was a one-time event, but it still took several days to resolve. When they say no credits or refunds, they mean it, even with my long term stay, there was no price reduction for the water or power issues. Quiet location, but for the price, I expected more reliable utilities, a true maintenance presence, and some reinvestment in the park.

Whatever you do, don’t stay at small cabin #2. As soon as we walked in, I was disgusted. It smelled like someone smoked a carton of cigarettes in it. We checked in late so the office was already closed. We went to Walmart and I spent almost $75 on a mop, cleaning supplies and a diffuser. I mopped the walls and the floors. It was terrible. I didn’t let my son sleep on the top bunk because the mattress(if that’s what you want to call it) had mold on the side of it that we noticed when putting the sheet on. The bath house was okay. Needs updating and more frequent cleaning. I went to the office the next morning to let them know about the condition that we found the cabin in and they did apologize, but nothing more. The only plus side and why I’m giving 2 stars was because our dog was allowed to stay with us.

We had my daughter's travel ball tournament in Lake City this past weekend and stayed at this campground. From the very first phone call to the moment we left, the staff was incredibly friendly and polite. Although we didn’t stay in one of the cabins, they looked nice and cozy. We brought our camper and stayed for two nights. Our Sunday bracket schedule was a bit hectic, but the wonderful lady at the front desk was extremely accommodating and worked with us so we could continue playing without worry. The campground itself is quiet and relaxing—just what we needed. With a few improvements, this place has the potential to be even better. We’ll definitely continue camping here whenever we have tournaments in the area!

The entire staff including maintenance is very polite and friendly. The pool has been cleaned since I’ve been here for a short time. It’s a very friendly environment. The road around the campground is excellent for a walk . There’s a nice pond to relax and watch the fountain in the middle. No swimming but great to have a moment of peace

Short stay. Wifi wouldn't connect in the back of the park. Cable free because it's hard to watch a snowy picture. Bathroom not as clean as they say. Needs some paint especially the Doors. Sketchy looking campers in the long term parking area. Some have tarps on them.

Where to begin. First, they play games with their name as there is a very nice campground down the road called Lake City RV Resort and this campground is Lake City Campground and Resort. Don't be fooled. This campground is NOT a resort. I have to say that we did arrive 4 days after hurricane Helene went through the area. However, what we saw was not caused by the hurricane. I am excluding any hurricane impact from my review. The pictures in the website must be from 10 years ago or more. This campground is run down. The office outside and inside is in desperate need of attention. It needed facia work and new paint like 5 years ago. The office inside looks more like a thrift store. There are 3 trailer homes that should be taken out. Not sure what they are used for but they are an eyesore if you want to call this place a resort. People are pulling in with $300,000 rigs right across the gravel drive from rundown moldy trailer homes. The roads have huge potholes in them. The firepits have not been mowed/weed whipped for over a month if at all over the summer. The pool had no umbrellas for shade. The great reviews must be from family/friends or paid for. I travel about 4 months a year. I have stayed in great campgrounds (federal, state and private) and not so great. Sorry but this one is not so great. It is functional and good for overnight but not deserving of the 4 and 5 stars other reviewers are giving them and certainly should not have "resort" in their name.

We just got our first camper & wanted to try it out somewhere close to home & randomly choose Lake City Campground, & I'm so glad we did! Everything was organized & so clean! We realized we forgot a few essentials, & Miss Laurie was so helpful, & I couldn't believe how incredibly reasonable the prices were! Cheaper than Amazon! The pool was so clean and refreshing! We never checked out the Rec Room, but we had such a wonderful time with our granddaughter. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend visiting Miss Laurie at Lake City Campground for a laid back & relaxing time! 😊

Been camping at Lake City campgrounds for over 12 years, have always enjoyed our stay there...but.. have noticed that the bathrooms are in great need of updating and a little paint would greatly improve the appearance of the park. Overall it's still the best park in Lake City, just needs a little TLC...

We just stayed overnight but Kayla was very helpful on the phone securing a reservation as well as checking us in. We had a long pull through with half blacktop and full hookup including cable. The wifi worked great for us! It’s not fancy but comfortable. Highly recommend!

The initial impression upon seeing the very junky and cluttered office was this wasn't good. That was confirmed by a look in the bathroom/shower. Bathroom/shower is filthy, obviously not cleaned daily since the toilet was stopped up for two days. When we pulled in I thought we were in the movie Deliverance not Florida and looked for a banjo player on the cabin porches. Not a very savory looking clientele. It had rained and it was very soft and muddy. Don't know how it received good ratings on Good Sam. And the pictures are very deceiving. We searched for other reviews and found some very unfavorable that the owner had responded to with "why didn't you tell us." I didn't tell them about the toilet to see if anyone bothered to check it that night or in the morning. They didn't. Other than taking a look around I wouldn't use the facility. Thankful we were only spending one night there, and never again.

Im sorry, we were excited about staying here, and some of the photos looked okay, when we got here there were a few upscale rvs, but this place is a dump in the bad part of town. The grounds are unkempt, and the big pull for us.." the nature trail" was basically a ditch with stagnant water puddling in many many sites..we saw pairs of medical gloves that seemed to be used on the trail, our cabin was Busted, missing doors, stained unpainted cabinets, and we bought drop cloths and sprayed lysol everywhere, broken steps and a molded trashcan with a mop on the front porch. The swing was broken..BUT ..the ducks on the stagnant water pond were beautiful and healthy...thank goodness!

A good overnight stop. Had a pull through with full hookups, including cable TV. Was a nice quiet, clean park with grass sites. A few potholes to navigate, but nothing terrible. There is a fishing pond on the property but I really didn't have the time to check it out.

A small, but nice campground. Because we were only staying one night, having a place just off the freeway with level sites was a big plus. We didn't have to unhook which made getting out the next morning quick and easy. Bathrooms were clean and the park looked well maintained. 👌
