Overview

Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort offers a premium waterfront experience for travelers operating Class A or Class C motorhomes. Nestled along the eastern shores of one of South Carolina's most beautiful reservoirs, this resort is designed for those who appreciate upscale living and a strong sense of community. The gated property features professionally landscaped lots, many of which are privately owned and provide a refined atmosphere compared to traditional short-term campgrounds.

Location & Surroundings

Located in the quiet town of Cross Hill, the resort sits directly on the banks of Lake Greenwood, a massive 11,400-acre lake known for its clean waters and excellent fishing. The surrounding landscape is characterized by the lush, rolling greenery of the South Carolina Upstate, offering a tranquil environment far removed from highway noise and city congestion while remaining easily accessible from regional travel corridors.

Amenities & Park Features

The resort is centered around an impressive lakefront clubhouse which serves as the social hub for guests. Residents have access to a heated swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and a large outdoor kitchen area perfect for evening socials. Most sites are finished with designer pavers and offer full hookups, while the wide, paved interior roads ensure that even the largest motorcoaches can maneuver with ease and safety.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Water-based recreation is the primary draw, with opportunities for boating, kayaking, and fishing for bass or crappie. Just a short drive away, Lake Greenwood State Park offers miles of hiking trails and scenic picnic spots. Golf enthusiasts can find several highly-rated courses within the immediate area, while the nearby Ninety Six National Historic Site provides a fascinating look into Revolutionary War history for those seeking a day of cultural exploration.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is ideal for luxury motorhome enthusiasts who prefer a resort-style lifestyle over a rustic camping experience. It is particularly well-suited for retirees and long-term travelers looking for a scenic home base with modern comforts. Because the park is restricted to motorcoaches, it fosters a unique community of like-minded travelers who prioritize quiet evenings, beautiful views, and high-quality site maintenance during their stay.

Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort, Cross Hill, SC

A hidden RV Class a resort off the beaten track. Well worth the the stay

We are new to the motor coach lifestyle and love it better than our travel trailer. This resort is quite clean and a beautiful place to camp. The pool and hot tub was very clean. The sites are easy to manage and set up .We stayed in site number 78 with beautiful views of the lake and the campground host Clint and Crystal were amazing host. We definitely will be back.

My review is based solely on service regarding refunds. I recommend reading every word of every sentence. It cost me $100 for a reservation the site canceled.

My RV is a B+/C. She’s on a heavy duty chassis but doesn’t look like a semi. That’s the reason my reservation was canceled. I own the fact I didn’t read through everything. I was really excited about the location. Once I was canceled, I had 3 options; reserve on the adjoins hill site (not available); credit for another weekend; or cancel with partial refund. $190 for initial reservation, $95 returned. It may be legal, just not sure it’s right.

Beyond this experience I can’t speak about anything else associated with the location. Seemed like a nice place.

Really appreciate the resort calling 3 days before our vacation and advising us they’ve increased the minimum size requirements and now we are not allowed to enter with our Super C.

This is a month and a half after booking and receiving an approval email with all specifications of the motorhome listed in the online questionnaire. The website is not up to date per staff.

What a fiasco and a vacation ruined. Every where else is booked up and outrageously priced if any availability.

Beware if you’re a Super C owner considering this place.

We booked and stayed on Site 62 for two weeks May 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at LGMR. Resort Hosts Annette and Dewey took great care of us!! Annette called a few days prior to arrival and reviewed all check-in procedures and met us at the office upon arrival then escorted us to our site. Site 62 is a pull-in site with an extended deck in front of coach providing for a great sitting area along with an incredible lake view. Even the owner of the site visited and made sure we had a large umbrella for the deck space. Met lots of friendly owner's at the Resort and enjoyed a day out on the lake. The Resort is stunning and beautiful! One of our favorites as we travel the country. LGMR is lucky to have such incredible Resort Hosts like Dewey & Annette!

We loved it so much we purchased a lot! Wonderful people and very laid back atmosphere.
